We've enjoyed meals there several times. It's not a must-do for us every trip, but we have enjoyed our experiences there. And if you're already at EPCOT, it's a relatively short walk from IG. If you're curious and like the look of the menu, go for it! Try something new.....
As noted above it's an easy walk. Ate there a few times and it's good. Not something I would rush back to. Prefer Flying Fish....well worth leaving the parks for.
Walking from the IG is relatively quick and easy, maybe 10 minutes max if strolling or with young kids.
The Tratt is excellent, we think. A must-do for breakfast, a fave for dinner.
It has a casual atmosphere more suited to families with young kids than Flying Fish, IMO. The Tratt's atmosphere is similar to Artist Point's Story Book Dining.
I agree with everyone above. Dining at Trattoria Al Forno wouldn’t take significantly more time away from other activities in Epcot than dining in any of the restaurants inside Epcot would take.
And if you like Italian food, DFB just gave them an excellent review post refurbishment. I've only eaten there once, and it was for breakfast, without characters. Had the Freshly Harvested Fruit Plate, loved it!
