We would like to park hop from Epcot to HS in the late afternoon in Sept. What would be the easiest and quickest way to get there? Thanks!

Leave Epcot from the International Gateway. You can either walk or take the boat. It's about a 15-25 minute walk depending on your pace and a 20-30 minute boat ride depending on your timing. September will be hot, so the boat will be shaded.

are the Friendship Boats back up and running yet? (I know they will be in September)

The quickest way (when things like crowds/ wait time for boats, etc are factored) would be to walk.:cool1: It's a beautiful walk through the Boardwalk area and to the International Gateway. If the boats are back, then they would be the "easiest" way, but not the fastest as they make stops along the way. :sail: It's a beautiful ride though.

We always walk it, leave the international gate, go toward Boardwalk, cut through the main pool area for a slightly shorter walk.

If you want from the international gateway to DHS, make sure you cut through the boardwalk’s pool. That will save some time.

Past year we took the boat and I was annoyed at how slow it was. The different stops made the ride feel like it was dragging on forever. Next time I'll walk for sure.

We prefer to walk. If I wasn’t walking in then I’d either drive myself or take a bus. Boat would be the last option for us just because of how hot they were inside. We took it from Epcot to HS one time and sitting inside felt like an oven. The front and back are open but there was zero airflow coming through at all.

We loved the boats, but we have a running joke that wherever we go we find a boat ride or two. I think we could possibly walk it faster, especially if we hadn't just been walking for six hours. But for us it's sort of like a 20 minute attraction that ends at the other park. We thought it was a lovely ride and did it a couple times, not to mention back to the hotel several more times (we were at the Swan).

Thank you for all your replies. You’ve given me a lot to think about. If we took the boat, would we get on the boat at that first dot outside the international gateway? We have never stayed at one of the Epcot-area resorts so we are unfamiliar with this area. Thanks!

You'd get on at the international gateway then it makes two stops at the boardwalk hotels before stopping at HS

Yup...
That's it.
We've taken the boat to DHS a couple of times and it's a pretty slow trip.
The upside is if you're worn out by a five year old and her parents dragging you around EPCOT all morning and afternoon the long ride is a good way to recharge your batteries. :teeth:
