So, how do I get from Epcot to Hoop-de-doo? We have 5:00 ressie and I dont want to be late!!!
TIA

front front of Epcot take monorail to MK and then boat to FW.

or front of Epcot take FW bus direct to FW but then you need to take the internal bus to Hoop-de=do

The monorail to the MK is not at the front of Epcot, you would have to take the monorail to the TTC. The get off that monorail and get on the express monorail to the MK. From there go and take the Ferry to FW.
I just wanted to make sure you realize the first monorail does not go directly to the MK as you will want to plan your travel time accordingly. I would leave Epcot no later than 4:00
I do not know about the internal bus system in FW, so I can not help you with taking the bus from Epcot to FW. I do not know which route would be faster.

Bus from Epcot to FW, then internal bus to Hoop Dee Doo, probably makes more sense and takes less time. Via monorail, the OP would have to go from Epcot to the TTC to the Magic Kingdom to/on the FW boat - but then, yes, they'd be walking distance from dinner. Or, bus from Epcot to either the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge, then boat to FW.

ok I can take the bus from Epcot to FW...direct route...

OR

Take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC...transfer to MK monorail and then go to FW by boat...

Is this marked well???

I would get lost in a paper bag witha hole cut out the other end sometimes!!! *LOL*

There are signs, but I'm not sure how visible they are if you don't know how to find them. Ask CM or other guests if need be. You'll alyawys find someone who is willing to help. BTW the bus can take up to an hour. Been there, done that. Monorail and boat can take a little longer if you miss connections. Good luck.

Yes, but I am not sure where the bus drops you off. You may need to get another bus to the Hoop-Dee-Doo.

If you do the monorail-monorail-boat route (which I'd recommend), there will be CMs that will gladly show you where to go. The monorails is more fun than the bus (see if you can co-pilot) and the boat is relaxing!

Fort Wilderness is a LARGE place. The Hoop Dee Doo Review is held in Pioneer Hall. This is near the waterfront, a short walk from where the boats pull in. It is not near where the Epcot buses drop you off. In either case, you're going to need to make a transfer.

Bus from Epcot to Fort Wilderness. This bus will drop you at the Outpost bus stop. This is near the entrance to Fort Wilderness and not close to Pioneer Hall (which is more than a mile away). Catch any of the internal buses (Purple-Settlement, Yellow-Settlement, or Orange-Settlement) to get to the Settlement bus stop. On any bus you'll stop at several campground sites and eventually arrive at the Settlement stop, which is near Hoop Dee Doo Review.

Monorail from Epcot to Ticket and Transportation Center. Transfer to:

(a) Express monorail to Magic Kingdom, then boat to Fort Wilderness. The boat launch for Fort Wilderness is right next to the Magic Kingdom monorail station. Your boat will stop at Wilderness Lodge, first. When it arrives at Fort Wilderness, you'll be right next to Pioneer Hall.

(b) Ferry boat to Magic Kingdom, then boat to Fort Wilderness. This is probably identical to the express monorail as far as time and walking distances. Your preference as to whether you prefer the monorail or the ferry.

(c) Resort monorail to Contemporary Resort, then boat to Fort Wilderness. CR is the last stop going in this direction. It will take a while to make the complete monorail circuit. From CR, you can take the boat to Fort Wilderness. (Note, the CR-to-FW boats stop running early. You may want to confirm what time they stop by calling CR while you're there. You should be fine for the early Hoop Dee Doo show, but maybe not for the later ones.)

Boat from Epcot to MGM. Epcot and MGM are connected by a boat. It's about a 30 minute trip with stops at several hotels along the way. The Epcot boat launch is at the International Gateway, which is near France in the World Showcase. From MGM, you can catch the Fort Wilderness bus. This bus takes you directly to the Settlement bus stop, which is near Pioneer Hall.

Bus from Epcot to Wilderness Lodge. Feel up to hoofing it? If so, there's a beautiful nature trail between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. This one-mile paved trail brings you out near Pioneer Hall. Or if that one mile walk seems a bit much after a full day in Epcot (no matter how beautiful the nature might be), you can catch a boat from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness. (It's actually the same boat from the Magic Kingdom, which stops at Wilderness Lodge on the way to Fort Wilderness.)

Taxi? Sorry, this is one of the very few cases where a taxi can't simplify WDW transportation. For the most part, Fort Wilderness is not open to vehicular traffic (except campers arriving and departing). A taxi can only get you as far as the Outpost bus stop. From there, you'd still need to catch a WDW bus to get to the Settlement bus stop and Pioneer Hall.

Edit: added some of the other suggests posted below

The transportation to Hoop-De-Do is among the most complicated, confusing and convuleted in the WDW resort. At least it is to me. But then I'm directionally challanged. (Spelling challanged too, I might add. They need to put a spell checker in here.)

As far as I can tell, the advice given by the posters on here are all accurate.

But ... if I were making that journey, I'd do it in the following two steps:

1. Walk out of Epcot and head straight to the taxicabs (you can see them from the exit).
2. Get into a cab, and say "Take me to the Hoop-De-Do Review please."

Enjoy.

Thanks!
That really helps...its been copied and pasted and put into my own "Tour Guide"
The day we are doing HDDR we have no plans...so thanks for different locations for pick up and drop off...
we are almost there!!!

sorry as lots of visitors have found out - that doesn't work - the taxi can't get into FW.

this part of FW is called the output - you would still need to check a settlement bus.

going to Studios (mGM) is the best alternative. the problem would be will it still be going when you leave. It can get very complicated trying to get back to your resort once the parks are closed.

Here's another option: take a bus from EPCOT to WL. Take a short walk to the back of WL to the boat launch for FW. Get off the boat at FW and it's not more than a 5 minute walk to Pioneer Hall.

This way, you avoid having to get on the "internal loop" buses at FW. It's basically one transfer and walking through WL to get to the boat.

Getting back to your resort is easy.

If MK is closed after HDDR is over, there SHOULD be busses waiting at the Settlement bus stop to take guests back to their resorts. Sometimes (rare ocassions), due to manpower shortages, there are no extra busses.

decisions decisions...
Thanks for the insight...we will probably go to either MK or Epcot that day...we both love Epcot and the day we are at MK we have the KTTK tour...SO...we will probably hit some of our favorites...gotta love hopper passes!!!
Thanks!

Last year when we did the HDDR the buses did not take you back to your resort. You had to go to TTC and change buses to DD (the parks were closed) and then change again to get to your resort! We will never do the last seating again unless we are in WL or one of the monorail resorts, unless the parks are opened.

Wow! BirdsofPrey, that was GREAT!!!

I did come up with one more: Exit Epcot through the International Gateway. Walk to Beach Club. Take bus to Magic Kingdom, then boat/launch to Fort Wilderness.

OP: No matter which route you choose, for absolute safety I'd allow an hour and a half to get to Pioneer Hall. If you're early, there's 'stuff' to do in that area; if you're late, your reservation could get given away :(

The taxi can't get to Hoop-De-Doo Review? Wow! I learn something every day almost from the posts on here. So it remains complicated getting to and from the show. That's a real shame.

Enjoy anyhow.

One additional suggestion...

The bus from Epcot to Fort Wilderness will stop at Wilderness Lodge first. At WL, the FW internal shuttle (the Orange) makes a stop. It runs about every 10 minutes, and takes about 2 minutes to get to Pioneer Hall. So it'd be much quicker to just get off at that first stop, and catch the bus there.

After staying at FW once, I really don't think the bus system is all that complicated.
Option A...

1.EPCOT to FW...bus will drop you off at the Ft Wilderness "Outpost". Next...

2.Outpost take FW Internal bus to "Hoop-de-Doo". Tell this bus driver where you are going, he'll be happy to tell you where to get off for HDD.

Option B...Listen to Chip 'n Dale Express. He won't steer you wrong!
