1. probably 50 minutes, including waiting time for the monorails

2. allow 25 minutes. Thisincludes the 5 minute walk from the YC dock to the BC, but does not include wait time for the boat (possibly another 20 minutes depending on how many boats running.

Prior post is a good worst case, a little more data suggests planning 35 mins for each trip.

For the monorail, you will spend about 15 minutes actually travelling on the monorails (about 7 from Epcot to TTC, and about 8 from TTC to Contemporary). The rest of the time is waiting for monorails (worst case ten minutes each for 20 more minutes, for grand total of 35 minutes), waiting for second monos if you travel during very high demand times (e.g. at closing) and there is a line waiting for monorails, signaling slowdowns, etc.

The boat from YC/BC to MGM is about ten minutes. Add 5 for the walk, and 20 minutes as a worst case if you just missed the last boat, and you get to 35 mins.

I would plan about 25 minutes from MGM to BC. If you just missed a boat, then you can walk from MGM to BC in that time period, so there is no need to wait for another boat. If you do go by boat, the best thing to do is get off at the first stop (Swan/Dolphin) and walk to BC from there (it's a 5 - 8 minute walk). After S/D, boat will go to BW dock and then to YC dock. IT will be much faster to get off at S/D and walk to BC from there.

Actually, when traveling MGM-Epcot, the stops are S/D - YC/BC - BW.

The reverse is true for the Epcot-MGM trip.

Sorry--I made a mistake--I was thinking S/D to MGM, not Y/B--add another 6 minutes or so...

So it sounds like each trip takes some time. Waiting for the boat/monorail plus travel to the resort.

Do you think it would be faster taking the bus system instead?
What would you do?

There is no bus to MGM from YC/BC, so you walk or talk the boat.

There is a bus to MK which takes 25 minutes plus up to 20 minutes waiting for the bus. Personally I'd take the bus...
