Can you help me choose a TS dinner for my family? DH and I are not picky eaters in the slightest, but my parents are ("square meal" kind of folks). DD4 and DD1 are easy enough to please and have a wealth of experience in dining out, so I'm not overly concerned about their behavior (jinxed myself for sure!). What would you suggest? We have dined at the Biergarten and all of us loved it, but I'm looking for something different this time around.

TIA!

A try have always had a great meal and great service.:goodvibes:goodvibes

With 4 yr old and 1 yr old daughter, the Princesses at Akershus would be a big hit. My 2 year old loved it there. My Mom is not exactly an adventurous eater, and she thought the food was really good.

My first thought was Biergarten--glad you enjoyed that!

I also really like Le Cellier, Les Chefs de France, and Coral Reef. Akershus is very good too if you want the princesses. Have fun planning!:goodvibes

I would recommend Teppan Edo-- the food is simple-- grilled meats, veggies, rice. It's also entertaining for children since you watch the cook make your meal in front of you. And the food is REALLY good!

Another vote for Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Biergarten, I hear good things about Rose and Crown too! As far as Teppan edo and Nine Dragons you can get Japanese/Chinese anywhere at home!

Akershus was fantastic - lots of food to choose from. Coral Reef was fabulous as well. We also enjoyed the Italian restaurant, but the name escapes me at the moment...

Teppan Edo is a must do for us each trip. The food is really good and the chef will keep the little ones entertained.
We also like Restaurant Marakkesh and I am not an adverterous eater. THe food was really good.
How about Rose & Crown, another good choice.
Have fun planning

Agree with many others ... Le Cellier is wonderful. And since it is a "steak house" should offer a meal your parents will recognize. Along with delicious food and wonderful deserts. We loved it!

LeCellier, LeCellier and then LeCellier. We also enjoyed Italy (good food) and Mexico (better ambiance than food).

Le Chefs is one of my favorites at Epcot and has meals that are fairly "normal" for your parents. It is usually not that hard to get into either unlike Le Cellier.

I think WDW is pretty good about not alienating anyone to far from familiar cuisine, It is likely that there is always at least one thing someone will like on every menu. Sadly, the Epcot restaurants take fewer chances than they once did representing dishes from other countries. So I think you will be ok on that score, don't stress to heavily. Rose and Crown in UK has a great menu that does a nice take on many everyday dishes ...fish and chips, chicken, sheppard's pie with lamb. I think it would be a hit with a "meat and potatoes" crew. The ambiance is nice especially on a nice late afternoon sitting on the patio and I've never had difficulty getting an ADR either, unlike Le Cellier, where you might find it difficult to procure one. Garden Grill is another good suggestion I've seen here...the food is hearty and pretty basic appealing to everyone. Restaurant Akershus is nice due to the Character interaction for your little ones...but the few times I have went, I found the food lacking and was always disappointed I think you are better served by going to a slightly nicer Character BLorD...Good Luck, and seriously, don't stress...there's something for everyone...!

Le Cellier sounds safe enough ... it is, after all, a steakhouse. And if you can get past the menu items in French at Le Chefs (which does have descriptions in English) - you'll find chicken and beef and salmon, which is pretty square mealish at its heart.

There are so may choices in EPCOT (we get hopper passes and head over to EPCOT most nights) and if we go for a week on the DDP I would try for at least 4 of these 6 if not all.
Le Cellier (for the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce )
Chefs de France (for Noix de Saint Jacques et gambas sautees Flan d'epinards, sauce a l'oseille - Sauteed scallops and black tiger shirmp served with lemon butter, vegetable and fresh herb sauce, black pearl rice)
Coral Reef (for the Grilled New York Strip Steak - served with roasted potatoes, watercress and tomatoes tossed in caramelized shallot vinaigrette )
Teppen Edo (for Asakusa - sirloin steak and large shrimp)
Rose and Crown (mostly to see Illuminations)
and through in San Angle (for the atmosphere).
