Epcot- stumped where to eat..

There are so many good choices in Epcot! We're hoping to go back in January without DD so we can eat all the things in Epcot.

Hah!! This is true......It's just that we were soooo Underwhelmed...The Remy thing was honestly better than any character dining we've had at All the TS's that we've done..It's a shame that they ended that later that year...I think it was back in 2011

Chefs de France....Huge disappointment....*( not that I had high expectations ) Other than having Remy (Ratatouille) there with a guy, the food was much to be desired...The portions were small, price was higher, and the service (to Me ) was bad....And it felt like we were a bother to them.

So different from our experience. Our server was the highlight of our (delicious) meal and was just about the best server we had all trip. He was amazing and really made the whole experience phenomenal. What made it even more surprising was that our bill was going to be a small one - we only ordered 2 kids meals as DH and I had already eaten elsewhere. He made a small mistake with how he handled the bill so we couldn't tip him. He insisted it was fine but my DH was sooo happy with his service that he ordered a super expensive bottle of water (we are cheapskates and this is far beyond our norm) to give him a very generous tip.

We went back a couple of years later and also had a good experience (if not quite as memorable).

We would definitely go back.

And that's a good thing from most that I hear from....Normally I would chalk it up to a bad night...But Honestly Everything, I mean everything was just sub-par...And I've eaten at at least 40% or so of the TS/QS around WDW & DLR....From Top notch to many a food court too.

OK Just a warning.

The reason San Angel gets "trashed" is Americans often think tacos and burritos are "Mexican" San Angel serves Mexican, not Tex Mex. So if your family is expecting Tex Mex (Fajitas, tacos, burritos, etc...) it won't be a hit.

Personally my two favorites on your list are Rose and Crown and Chefs. Note that Chefs is suppose to be a French Café so tables are close together (not as close as at a French café, but closer than some Americans like... However, I had more space there than LeCellier so....)I have never had a bad meal at either (and was personally beyond thrilled when they quit bringing that rat around to the tables!)

I don't think you can go wrong with anywhere in world showcase, we love them all except Norway and Germany but that is because we don't do buffets. I've had decent food at Chefs but bad service, I've been a number of times so it's kind of hit and miss on the service. We pay out of pocket and order what we want so our tab can come out pretty high so it isn't even about what we are spending. We've only eaten at the bar at Rose and Crown and it was good and filling, a little crowded but fun, same food at the QS. We used to eat at Mexico every trip but the service has kind of gone down hill through the years and they have crammed more tables in there so it's loud. We like the food well enough, we like the other restaurant in Mexico better. Our favorite is both restaurants in Morocco but if your kids are picky eaters, the inside one might be a bit too exotic, Spice Road is a good choice for lunch because they have small plates you can share and you won't get too full. Heck, we even eat at China every once in awhile, nothing special but good service and it's never crowded. Another thing we love to do is sort a QS crawl in WS, we will get something from every place and share.

Honestly? I would suggest Biergarten - you will have your own table, everyone can pick and choose from the buffet, etc.

Agree with other posters about checking the menus to get an idea if it would appeal to your party. Haven't done SA in decades but based on our last RC experiences I would RC at lunch time. Lunch didn't feel as rushed as dinner. Same hold true for some other in park TS restaurants. We used to go to Chef's for lunch but gave it up when they went to an all day menu which is mostly from their old dinner menu.

Another vote for checking out the menus, hopefully the menus are all fixed now for the Summer. We are a family of four from the UK who enjoy Italian, Mexican, Asian and more traditional British food. We've tried quite a few of the Epcot TS and are scheduled for Biergarten this trip.

Rose and Crown has solid British fare, but my current favorite is Spice Road Table. Yum all the way.

Chefs is a great choice for lunch. Delicious burger and fries (only available on the lunch menu). But honestly, I like all the places you mention. Rose & Crown is a good choice as well. I actually prefer San Angel for dinner though.

R&C is good but honestly nothing special in my opinion. I loved Chefs De France. Food is so good, and I love the atmosphere.

My fave is via napoli though. Best pizza and pasta i've ever had! Yum!

Currently we have Garden Grill booked for lunch... we love it there and its a must do for us!!! But... the menu has evolved over time and now has pot roast (which we don't really eat). It is also our last day at DW. I am thinking of spreading out wings and potentially trying either Chefs de France, Rose & Crown, or San Angel. We are a multi generational family with kids 7 & 4. Either talk me into it- or talk me out of it.. Please help- we leave soon.

Among those three, Rose N Crown or San Angel would get my vote. Chefs is ok but I really only remember the French Onion Soup as being the standout. San Angel has great atmosphere and the food is more authentic than your standard Tex Mex places. Rose n Crown is a cool place too(if you ask for inside)with great pub fare.

Lunch at San Angel Inn is still my overall Epcot favorite so that gets my vote!
