Someone suggested going to one of the innoventions bulding at Epcot for a Robot Race at Fantastic Plastics....Has anyone done this before and what did you think of it?
We did it on our last trip. Our 4yr old seemed to like the attraction and there were plenty of other people who wanted to do it (but the wait wasn't horrible). The plastic robot is really cheesy - but we all made one and ds enjoyed playing with them.
Our DD5 loved it! She came in second in the design phase, and thought running on the mat and jumping was a ton of fun. I had to run with her because she wasn't heavy enough to really make it go. Nothing like going to Disney for a workout!
She and her brother play with their robots quite a lot. We went first thing in the morning while her dad and older brothers ran off to ride the big rides, and we were first in line.
Our DS loved it too. He was just under 5 at the time. DH had to run on the mat with him because he wasn't heavy enough. That's my justification for why they beat me so bad in the race.
The robots are fun to make and DS plays with them pretty often at home (mixing and matching colors, etc.)
We will definitely be doing this again when we go in a few weeks.
Our DD, 5, did this last August an LOVED it. The robot you make at the end is just a simple little plastic thing, but the kids seemed to have a really good time during the whole thing.
Here's a picture of the robots that you can make at the end. My kids adore playing with them at home....mixing their parts...making robo dogs, etc. We had a big group last time, and have collected them for several trips now, so we have a huge plastic bucket of them now. They're cute!
The second picture is a picture of a type of robot that you can create to run the race.
