oh my.....fasten your seatbelts....here comes a flurry from me.

We LOVE eating in epcot...so many choices.

have never been too keen on the electric umbrella...so so

have always wanted to try coral reef and swear some day soon i will do so.

in mexico we realy like san angel inn (and others hate it....all a matter of opinion) but we are not oposed to grabing something from the counter service place outside in mexico either.

we LOVE the biergarten (sp?) in germany...but we are a saugage, schnitzel, cabbage kind of a family. the bratwust from the stand outside is pretty darn good too if you dont want a sit down meal.

we also LOVE the fish and chips counter service in UK. the Rose and Crown is also very good (bangers and mash - yum...there we go again with the saugages!)

others rave about the steaks at Le Celier, but honestly i go there just for the cheese soup and the pretzel bread. lunch has cheaper meals and my husband claims that was one the best burgers he has ever eaten.

have never eaten in france or italy...(well, except for the pastry shop in france, that place is amazing). There is a large italian population in our area and we have many high end authentic italian eateries to choose from....paying the prices at the italy pavilion for what we can get at home for much less does not apeal to us. i do hope to try the french restaurant someday....perhaps now that they have some meals with character interaction to interest my youngest we may go for it.

happy eating!

Love LeCellier(Canada), Biergarten(Germany) and Chefs de France for sit down (TS) dining.

Counter(quick) service - Fish & chips in UK, Cantina in Mexico & Tangierine Cafe in Morroco.

There are some great ones....in Future World, i like the Coral Reef and Sensations, which is the food court in the Land pavilion that has tons of choices! In World Showcase, Rose and Crown Pub, Chefs de France and Biergarten are excellent!!

We just returned yesterday so I'm already having withdrawal now that I'm having to cook myself!LOL

We dined at Epcot several times during our trip. On a scale of 1 -5, 5 being the best, we would rate Tutto Italia & Teppan Edo a 5. Tutto Italia was wonderful, from the food to the service, atmosphere, etc. I wish it were closer to us. Teppan Edo is a Japanese restaurant where the Chef performs & cooks on a hibachi grill. It's always a winner with our 9 & 6yo.

We were pleasantly surprised when we decided to use a counter service and try the Tangierine Cafe. No complaints there except we wish the children's menu would have had a smaller portion offering of 1-2 of their specialty plates. A hamburger or hot dog did not compare to my DH's lamb wrap or my chicken dish. Both DSs ate their meals and loved my chicken dish so I shared with them. Since we surprised ourselves & enjoyed this CS I would be open to trying their TS restaurant the next time.

Out of our trip our most disappointing dining experience was Le Cellier. It was obviously a truly off night. We were so excited after having read reviews here and getting recommendations from friends but unfortunately it wasn't stellar for us. Based only on our experience I would rate it a 2.5. Would I give it another chance? Possibly but I wouldn't give up Tutto Italia if I only had one ADR to choose.

Also, when you want a snack, go to the Kringla Bakeri in Norway & try the School Bread. Yum!!

Have fun planning!!

We like Tutto Italia and Rose & Crown. My son is hooked on the lamb at R&C and I love the eggplant mezzalane at Tutto.

For counter service we enjoy Tangierine Cafe in Morocco & Sunshine Seasons.

We love Coral Reef - excellent food & service and a fun atmosphere.
Tutto - excellent food - fast service.
LeCellier - cheddar cheese soup.:lovestruc
Biergarten - really fun atmosphere...BIG :drinking1 yummy ice cold beers, lots of excellent food choices.
San Angel Inn - food was good - atmosphere is fantastic.
We are trying Teppan Edo for the first time in a few weeks and are very excited about it!

I have eaten at every restaurant in Epcot. I really do not think you can go wrong with any of them. It is just what you may like or want. I would go to allears.net and look over the menus.

That being said, I tried Biergarten for the first time my last trip and loved it. Great food and show. My other 2 choices would be either restaurant in Japan, love both of them.

OOH! EPCOT is our favorite place to eat! Personally we choose to eat our way around the world. We start with churros in Mexico at 10AM and hit at least one CS or dessert kiosk in each country. The kids even keep notes in their journals as we go along. Favorites include the beef and noodle soup in China, the Shawarma Platter in Morocco, and the quiche in France.rites are the Beir

For TS, our favorites ate the Beirgarten, Rose & Crown, and Teppan Edo, but we've never been dissapointed with ANY EPCOT meal!

Teppen Edo good food & fun.

I thought this would narrow down my options!!! :rotfl: We would like to go to someplace unique, with unique atmosphere and fun activities. It sounds like Coral Reef has atmosphere.

tmws66 Did you mean Biergarten has a literal show or that the service is good?

We always get the fish and chips in England. It is counter service and hard to find a table. We usually find a curb... eat and people watch. I find it delightful. I understand it is the real recipe from England. Yummy!

As foodies, Epcot is mecca for us. Just sooooo good! My DH's favorite Disney attraction is the "beer tour of Epcot".

Having said that here's our Foodies Epcot Review...

We have 3 tiers of restaurants --

Tier 1 -- Must Do's:
- Le'Cellier (Canada) == Great food, atmosphere, service, and the bread. YUMMY!
- Tokyo Dining == Volcano Roll and the view.
- San Angel Inn == Very good food and romantic, unique location.
- Coral Reef == My DH isn't even a seafood fan and we love it here!
- Biegarten == My German ancestors would be proud! The food is great, Music wonderful and fun, and atmosphere is special.

Tier 2 -- OK when the moment is right.
- Garden Grill == Characters are the attraction, not the food
- Tepan Edo == We can get the same experience and food at home, but it is good.
- Rose & Crown == Its a great location, we just are not crazy about the food choices.
- Both restaurants in France == Very nice, when the mood is right.
- Marrakesh == Again very nice, when the mood is right.

Tier 3 -- Good, but not for us
- Nine Dragons == Ordinary Chinese food. Which is a shame because until they renovated and changed the menu it was a tier 1 restaurant.
- Tutto == Italian just isn't a food we go out for.
- Akershus == Great if you are family with girls, not a place for couples or a family with a boy.

Quick Service --

When we don't feel like sitting down, we will do our own version of the F&W festival and eat/drink our way around the world. Nearly every country has a great place to grab a nosh and a beverage. Watch out though -- those little noshes add up quickly. ;)

The only place in Epcot that is nothing special and we avoid is Electric Umbrella. Why bother? The decor, food, and ambiance are all drab.

Now as for someplace unique, with unique atmosphere and fun activities.

There are 6 primary choice:

Tied for 1st place -- Coral Reef and Biergarten. Both are places that are uniquely Epcot. Coral Reef with its full size aquarium that all tables can view because of the tiered seating and Biergarten because it makes Germany come alive with its outdoor theme and German music/story show.

Tied for 2nd -- Garden Grill, San Angel Inn, and Akershus. Garden Grill is a restaurant in the round -- as it moves around in circles with characters. San Angel because of its outdoor Mexican market setting. Akershus because of its food selections, castle dining theme, and princesses.

And in 3rd is Tepan Edo -- it is unique if you have never been to a Japanese steakhouse at home. It is a good show even if you have.

Happy eating!

Le Cellier
Coral Reef
Chefs De France
Teppen Edo
Rose and Crown
San Angle Inn
Nine Dragons

Been to all of these, Soooo many great places for a TS meal at EPCOT. This would probably be my order of choice.
