Ok, we are going to Epcot next week with a 5 and 3 year old. We could not get a FP for the Frozen Ride and this ride is a must for my 5 year old. If we go there right at open, 9:00 am, will we have a good chance of getting on the ride? How long is the wait usually right at open? I know it's a haul from the entrance.

How long until your trip? You could try to secure an ADR at Akershus for 8:00am, eat and be in the ride line before rope drop. If you are able to do this you should ask for the check immediately upon sitting down so there is no wait. Getting the check can slow you down significantly.

If not, people are let into the park around 8:30am and you will need to fast track yourself to the Norway Pavilion (from the Mexico side). They won't let you into Norway until 9:00am rope drop and you should try to be at the front of the pack to get a great place in the line. We just went last week and had 8:10am reservations at Akershus. Our table was in view of the open door and we watched people fly by at 9:00am. The wait got up there pretty quickly.

I did a lot of research on beating this line just in case (I ended up with an FP+) and found some helpful blogs. Google "rope drop, frozen ever after", etc.

We will be there on 4/11. I keep checking for a breakfast at 8:00 but no luck!

We did it at rope drop. We were waiting by the tapstiles by 8:15, and seriously speed walked there - with a stroller. We were in the second boat. Not the most fun thing I've ever done, but it worked!

I'm nervous about this too. Our girls will be 2 and 4. Really hoping for that fastpass.

If you are truly there at the front of the rope drop pack (so, getting to the park before 8:00) you can't really have too much of a wait if you haul it back there fast.

I personally wouldn't recommend going to the great expense and trouble of booking Akershus. We were there on time but seated late and didn't even make it before the rope drop crowd (and the meal is VERY expensive).

Even being behind the rope drop crowd, we only waited 20 minutes for the ride.

I'm going on 4/10 and when I asked this question a couple weeks ago the answers I received were pretty much all saying that if you're near the front of the pack you can walk at a normal pace and shouldn't have much more than a 20 minute wait.
