I'm not familiar with the Epcot brkfst but did see some posts. Taking my 4 yr old in Dec and not sure which one to try for. We did the castle last time and she loved it. Is the "new" princess brkfst just as wonderful? Thanks:smooth:

Hi there,

We did both breakfasts last August and loved them both.

Quality of food and service was the same.. breakfast was fresh, hot, plentiful... the servers attentive and efficient, the princesses were charming and really made my daughter feel special with a personal chat and a hug.

Personally - my honest opinion - telling my daughter we were having breakfast in the castle was a thrill.. it is so Disney - I mean when you think of Disney - this is what you picture.

But if unable to get the castle... then the storybook breakfast at EPCOT is an excellent alternative.

For me it is the castle (and cinderella) that makes it extra special.

I have some photos from both breakfasts on my website link below.

Good Luck with your reservations

We like them both, and try to do both on each trip.

I think the food is better at CRT (which doesn't say much about the food at SBP). The food at SBP was served family style in a skillet. The selection was so-so, and it wasn't exactly hot. The food wasn't terrible, but we don't do these breakfasts for the food.

As for the Princesses - we had a late seating at SBP and found that our DD got a lot more attention from the Princesses here, as opposed to CRT. At CRT they hit your table once, and hit it quick. At SBP they talked and interacted more and spent a lot more time. Not sure if that is the norm, or if it was because it was late and not at all crowded at the time.

At CRT you always have the feeling they are trying to rush you out (which we never let them do ;)). At SBP we didn't feel that way. The servers talked our ears off and loved talking about their native Norway.

There is something extra-special about being in the castle with the Princesses, but SBP is a good alternative.

I think I will try to do both. I love getting to the castle early and get pics w/o millions of people in front of it. Where is the Epcot brkfst? We've only done the one dinner there. It was in the rest. that moves slowly in a circle?? Gosh I'm getting old! Have to get back in the swing of thngs and read the boards a lot more with an upcoming trip. Again thanks for replying. pam

Where is the Epcot brkfst?
It is in Restaurant Akershus in Norway. This restaurant is in a 'castle' setting, so it is a good location for the Princess breakfast.

I would definitely do the Epcot Princess Breakfast..... especially if you already did CRT.

Have fun!!!!!

We have done both, and frankly enjoyed the food and the attention at the Epcot breakfast better. Maybe our opinions were swayed by not feeling the stress which seems to be related to obtaining CRT. Both were nice, but the princesses spent more time with us at the Epcot breakfast.
