When you do an Epcot portrait session, do you get to decide where you want your photos taken? If so, how many pavilions can you choose?

Thanks!

I thought I read you get to request 2 locations. Someone who knows will probably say though.

Yes, you choose 2, sometimes you get to do a 3rd as well if there is time (which I think often there is). We chose Morocco and Italy and Rosie asked us if we wanted to do a 3rd country, what we would like...we said either Japan or China and we did have time to do Japan as well (China would have been too far out of the way).

HTH! :goodvibes

That's great!! We are between 5 right now, lol! We will have to start narrowing it down!

Just keep in mind, if you can even narrow it down to 3 that are next to each other etc...you can give your first two choices to your photo coordinator and then also give them you 3rd just in case! ;)

How much is this photo session?

This may be obvious to those who have been planning longer, but is it park opening that limits the time? If that's the case, and we're already dressed appropriately to enter the park, can we tack on a honeymoon photo shoot or something similar, in order to extend the picture taking? I just love Epcot, and I can never convince everyone to go get formal portraits taken, so I'm hoping to get enough to last me for awhile!

They do the sessions both honeymoon and bridal portraits are done before world showcase opens at 11am. Each session is an hour at any of the parks.

The Bridal Portrait Session (wedding attire, no park admission required) is $650. The honeymoon portrait session (street clothes, park admission required) is $310.

Exactly! MK + any other park = $1,300. :thumbsup2

Not to question the great lurkyloo, but I believe this may have changed...

According to my BEO, it's $650 even with the MK shoot, and having it 2 days after the wedding... it does not count towards the minimum expenditure.

I know others have been told differently, but I got my BEO yesterday, and this is how it was listed, and when I asked about the minimum, I was told no...

I would ask them about that. I received a pamphlet with the different photo choices a week or two ago from my co-ordinator, and it states $1300 for MK + another park.

Yeah, I would double check too. It is conceivable that they could have lowered the price, and boy would that be great, but I find that people have mistakes in their BEOs far more frequently than Disney lowers prices! :rotfl:

I would also be very surprised if they stopped letting you apply it toward your minimum, since it is such a huge inconvenience (and could potentially delay an early-morning ceremony) to have to do the shoot the day of your wedding. Unless they consider that a trade-off for reducing the price.... :scratchin

They didn't lower the price it's listed as $1650 on my BEO... $1,000 for the MK photo shoot, and $650 for Epcot. So if there is a mistake, it would save me $350!

I specifically asked about the MK photoshoot counting towards the minimum and was told no, because it didn't happen on the same day. I don't know if it's because I'm having a 5pm ceremony or if they changed their policy :confused3 I'm bummed, because I'm under my minimum and it would really help so I don't just have to add random stuff.

I'll definately ask more questions when I talk to my WP tomorrow...

A-ha - $1650 is a mistake. Just show your planner the $1,300 price in the Photography PDF they sent you, or have him/her talk to Disney Event Photography to get the correct price.

I am wondering who told you the cost wouldn't count toward your minimums. Because when I did it, my Disney Event Photography contact wasn't sure if it would count (not really her purview anyway), but all three people I spoke with at DFTW confirmed that it did count toward the minimums. Of course, that was back in the Dark Ages... :rotfl:

I don't think I ever got a Photography PDF... I'll have to look.

My WP told me it wouldn't count towards the minimum... but I haven't read of anyone else having this issue lately, so I'm definately going to ask agian tomorrow and press the issue.

And seriously, I'm suprised they even had cameras when you got married way back when- yeesh :rotfl2:

Yes, the Roots actually carved our images in stone for us. You can imagine how hard this was for the candid shots! :lmao:

Here's a pic of the page in one of the Photography packets:
