Hey everybody,

We are doing a park hoping day with Hollywood Studios in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon.

1) Is it worth it to do the back stage shuttle to get from Hollywood Studios to Epcot?
2) About 3-4 in the afternoon we were planning on leaving Epcot, heading back to the Polynesian to shower up, and then head back to Epcot for some dinging reservations and the world showcase. I was wondering, how long should I plan on that taking? (just travel time, not getting ready time)

at $19 a person for 1 day of shuttle it's nice but not sure worth it. They only run every 30 minutes (somewhere around here is a schedule on when they actually run) but if your doing the park in a way to end up near it when your ready to hop, it can be a huge time saver and no security check. If you just miss it, it's not a time saver. Also one day I took it from MK to HS and it was so crowded, it was out of our way to get to the bus then to just leave out the front again not saving time once you added in getting to it..

now the week price if your going to do a few times I think is worth it and you can plan your visits around being near it when you want to hop.

It's like a resort break, so figure a couple hours plus your time to actually freshen up. I personally wouldn't head back just to freshen up unless it's a meal somewhere that requires more formal wear. I don't think there is anywhere in epcot that does and you'll be surrounded by people who haven't freshened up when eating. I would time my meal and heading to epcot so I did a resort break just before I went. If it's hot and humid time of the year, you'll need a shower seconds after stepping outside anyway so you dont' really stay freshened up to get back.

1. I wouldn't do the express transportation just for one hopping. If you're planning on hopping some more then I would do it. But if it's just for that one time then I would just drive or take the bus over
2. Leaving Epcot to Poly via bus would be quickest I'd estimate about 20-45 min to get there. Depends on how long you have to wait for a bus.

There is no regular bus service between Epcot and the Poly, either direction.

The monorail (Epcot transfer at TTC -or walk- between TTC and the Poly) is the "Disney Transportation" offered.
They only operate a bus if the monorail will be down during its regular hours.

The good news is that if you don't do the backstage shuttle, getting from EPCOT to the Poly is easy since you can just take the monorail and walk from the TTC to your room. I agree with the PP though, I'm not sure it's worth it just to freshen up for dinner.

What?! So what do people have to do that are staying at the Poly? They can't take a direct bus to or from Epcot? Do they have to head to MK and take resort monorail?

This what I'm trying to tell the girlfriend but she won't listen haha. We are only spending half a day in Epcot anyways. Probably not smart to spend two hours of it heading back to the resort

You can walk from the Poly to the TTC, then take the monorail. it's really not far at all. Or you can take the monorail from the Poly all the way around to the TTC.

Just another option to put out there, you can take a leisurely stroll from HS to Epcot via the Boardwalk Hotel. If going from HS to Epcot that is our preferred travel method between those parks. It takes less than 30 minutes if you are a slow walker or even take one of the FriendShip boats from HS to Boardwalk and then its a short walk to Epcot from there.

look for youtube videos of people who filmed eating around epcot (or the place your going). it won't be hard to show her people in shorts and a wreck in the background :) you can't get from poly to a place to eat at epcot and still look freshened up.. it's impossible in florida weather unless your visiting in winter and then it's still over a mile of walking to get from room to where you are eating..

edit: I personally do freshen up during the day, but it's during the resort break I do to clean up after my morning somewhere and before my afternoon and dinner somewhere else. I've rarely gone from resort to eat directly.

How would they get to MK?
(Other than the resort monorail or shuttle boat.)
Are you confused as to the whereabouts of the Poly?

here's a question for you - is the Hawaii building the one by the pink "view" MK fireworks? The Poly buildings always confuse me....I'll likely be walking in circles for the first day or two. LOL.
