Hi everyone!
I did a search and didn't find an answer so hopefully I am not duplicating a thread but....does anyone know if the pin trading tables are out at Epcot? They were not there on our last trip in December and am hoping they will be there next week for our Star Wars Weekends trip. My sister and I have a bunch of pins we'd love to trade with other guests!
Thanks for your help!

I saw something at EPCOT on Sunday right under that main pin station after you walk by Spaceship Earth. You know it's sort of out in the middle of that open area there after Spaceship Earth and before the Fountain of Nations ... Under those big triangle deals for "shade"?

They had a table set up with a board with other pins "pinned" to it as well as down on the table portion. People were gathered around pointing, etc. I assume this is what they were doing there. I can't say for certain if it will always be there or not. It was on Sunday when we were there.

In this area at those high top like tables under the umbrellas

When we walked up with our DD eager to trade (this was a few years ago) we got an ugly shock (things may have changed). The people there were more or less professional pin traders. They didn't want any of her pins but if she saw a pin she liked then we could buy a pin (that they would somehow specify) at the nearby pin trading station and then they would trade with her. We walked away.

Again it could have changed but we were very disappointed by the experience.

That stinks. Sorry for her :( I don't like that aspect of the pin deals ... Not sure why people are that way to be honest with you. Yes, I;m sure there's money to be made or better pins to be had from others purchasing them, but come on now. Children don't know anything about that and shouldn't have to deal with it.

I am not a pin trader though wear my pins all the time to show off :) My dad has been collected them since the beginning and they all want to give me money for some of them. Not interested. I wear them to show them off, not to get rid of them or trade them.

The one I get the most offers on when I wear it. The 1991 Holiday Pin.

Off my soapbox now, sorry.

They only people that setup there to trade are sharks that are out to scam you into buying them something from the pin station.

Definitely stick to trading with cast or if you find random people willing to trade in the parks.

There you go! Great advice. Sad to have to go there, still, good advice none-the-same.

Thanks @DrivenByDisney & @Good Morning Dewdrop & @delmar411! Yes, those are the tables under the umbrellas that I was asking about. My sister and I actually have some very good pins which just don't fit into our collection anymore and while yes, a lot of the people who set up there are "sharks" once we stumbled across a very nice gentleman who we made some great trades with, both for our private collections! We even will separate our pins out and have ones "just for kids"! We are wary at times of trading with CM's because many are scrappers (fake knockoff pins).

We'll be there next Wednesday, late morning/early afternoon, if anyone wants to trade! Look for two girls with Star Wars shirts on! :)

Thanks again for all the help!

Agree with the other posters about them being "Pin trading Pros".

They will most likely ask you to buy a pin as a trade.

If the deal seems fair to you, then great. If not, move on. Just don't go in expecting to do any actual trading.

Thanks @Reddog1134 for the reply! We're not pin trading novices and while we like trading for the fun of it, if we were asked to buy a pin to trade for a pin, we'd reply with a swift "NO".....o_O
