I have a couple of questions for the upcoming Epcot Swap:

1) Do you want to do an element swap? If so, how many elements per country/ spot?
2) Do you want to do a completed page swap? If you want a complete page, how many elements?
3) Do you want the world showcase group to include every country or 2 groups for the countries?

Let me know what you think.
S

This is what I was thinking:

This is not a sign up thread- just what I was thinking. Should we change anything?

This is an Epcot Swap that includes all pavilions in the World Showcase and Future World as well as any extras such as Illuminations.
Sign Up April 6th
Mail Date is June 8th.
Due date is June 15th (that is when I need to receive your package. I will wait one week to return them just in case someone‘s doesn‘t arrive on schedule). If I get them earlier I'll send them out earlier!

1. Choose an open theme (Mexico, Living Seas, Illuminations ~ anything at Epcot).
2. Select two elements. Each element should be embellished 2 different ways.
3. PM me with your DIS name, name and address - only if I have not swapped with you before.
4. Post your status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled.
5. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.
6. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.
7. HAVE FUN!!

A Final Note: This swap is a huge commitment of time and money for everyone involved as it takes a significant amount of both to create all of the pages and elements. Having said that, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not sign up for more than you can handle. It is not fair to me or the other participants to expend the time and money to make something for someone who does not reciprocate. We all want everyone to enjoy swapping but we also want you to think about what you are getting into when you sign up.

Last but not least, HAVE FUN! I know we all stress about our work and that is OK. The important thing to remember is that you just need to make something you would be proud to have in your own albums and everyone will love it. If you get stumped or have a question, anyone on here would be happy to help; all you have to do is ask.

Howdy PN...
I will let you know what is up with the swap.

I'm definitely in, too, but I'm only probably going to be able to do one group. Probably the countries, because I know I'll want pics of SIOLB as a "world traveler" in October!! :thumbsup2

I would like to do one country only due to time restraints because Im so heavily into DL/DCA swap and I would like it to be elements. :hippie:

1) Do you want to do an element swap? If so, how many elements per country/ spot? 2 would be cool I love the mix and match thing
2) Do you want to do a completed page swap? If you want a complete page, how many elements? I wouldn't do this one
3) Do you want the world showcase group to include every country or 2 groups for the countries?2 groups for the countries zand open up more as they fill

I would probably participate in this one but only the elements section, not pages. I, too, prefer to be able to select my elements from a list of items, and I think 2 elements is a good amount. I have quite a bit going on with the DL/DCA swap, but I have pics from EPCOT yet to scrap, so I guess how much I participate would depend on the due date as well as how the groups are set up. Thanks!

I love doing pages, but for this swap I would like to participate in the elements.
I don't have many world showcase photos, so my opinions would be silly to give. :upsidedow Whatever you think will fill up the quickest or be the easiest on you when swapping out.

I would like 2 elements too for all the same reasons as everyone else. :)

Thanks for hostessing.

PS-one way or two way embellishing doesn't matter to me.:thumbsup2 I just go with flow.

I'm very interested in an EPCOT swap - I love going there. About 10 years ago, we took a behind-the-scenes tour - it was so interesting. Last time we went, I remembered to take lots of "scenery" shots that I've missed in the past.

I'd be interested in doing elements. I'm not big on doing completed pages generally.
As for the # of groups for countries, I'll leave that for you to decide and I guess it would be based on level of interest, too.

Thanks!

I'm am interested in the countries. I'd like to do one page layouts, but only with a full group. If not enough interest is expressed here, I'll probably sign up for elements so that I don't miss out on a full set of the countries. I'd prefer two elements.

It doesn't matter to me whether you have one group of countries (make 11? or 12? I forget) or split the countries into 2 groups.

I am not sure if I will sign up for any other groups -- like most of us, it will depend on my schedule at that time.

I enjoyed the swap you hosted last year and am looking forward to this one.

Thanks!

I'm in! I'm a glutton for punishment....one day I will actually do another scrapbook :)

I have managed to stay away from doing pages so I'll keep to that and say elements only. I like the idea of one group for countries but would be ok with two as well. Two elements is my personal favorite. Did I forget anything?

i like the idea of anything fab 5 especially with the character spot in epcot, and general disney is a cool idea! was gonna sit this one out but i think you may have tempted me! ha ha!!! xx

OK, so I've read through this entire thread and I think I've got it. Let me see if this is right. Say I want to participate in the Fab Five Category. I sign up for lets just say Goofy. So....I decide on what elements I'm going to make and I make them X5 to be sent to the others in my group? How many elements do we make for each character?
Can I also participate in the General Disney one at the same time? I assume the number of sets of items I'm making depends on the number of people who have signed up.
Whew....all this thinking is exhausting!

Yeah you can sign up for more than one - i think for first swaps hostesses prefer to keep it to two groups tho (correct me if i'm wrong anyone!) just till you get the hang of the process.

how many elements you have to do will be posted in the sign up thread- its normally 2 and the hostess will post a list of what counts as one element.

and yeah the number of sets depends on how many people have signed up - once the swap is closed, you'll know how many are in the group - unless the group is full before sign ups close.

Its a bit confusing at first but well fun! and the people on here are all lovely and helpful! xxx

I'm so excited, my first swap! Now, who will be my sign-up buddy and help me through so I don't miss it?

You have the whole sign up thing correct. We will be making 2 elements per character. The General Disney group will depend on how many people sign up- I will cap it at 10 and start a new group. Does that help?
S :)

Wish I had more time on the computer. With three boys at home, I rarely get the chance to be on it....they seem to always be online. Guess that will have to change now.
