I was wondering if they do a dessert party or reserved viewing on New Year’s Eve at Epcot? I’m got a dessert party planned at MK for the 30th but don’t see any options for Epcot fireworks on New Year’s.

There aren’t any dessert parties, but last year they had a dinner with private viewing at La Hacienda. This link has some more info http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/new-years-eve-dining.htm

It is quite a bit more expensive than a dessert party though. We did the dessert party too at MK but ended up not doing anything at Epcot on the 31st. I’m all honesty you really don’t need reserved viewing for Epcot. There are so many places and most people don’t pick a spot until about an hour or an hour and a half before midnight unless they wanted to be right up front. You can be a few rows back and see everything fine. Many people only stopped in their spots when the fireworks started. If you still want to reserve viewing then I heard that the La Hacienda dinner was great.

There was also a dinner at Monsieur Paul’s and World Showplace, but I don’t think they had reserved viewing of fireworks. Have fun!!

Thanks so much for info! I really appreciate it. We are super excited to be in Disney for New Years. What show did you enjoy most MK or Epcot?

Personally, I liked MK better. There’s just something about having the castle there that makes it feel more magical. The finale is really special too. I’m also not a big Illuminations fan (Epcot’s is Illuminations plus a BIG NYE finale). The Epcot finale was awesome though and I know a lot of people who say they like Epcot’s better than MK’s.

I don't know if they do the Frozen dessert party on NYE. I thought they also had a buffet in the inflatable (I can never remember what that's called). I don't think there was a view from the actual buffet, but maybe they had a special place set up.

Yeah, you can't really see the fireworks from Monsieur Paul unless you are seated right next to the window. Even then, it's a terrible view through treetops. The few rows back only applies to people who aren't short. I really couldn't see them due to trees and the horde of people that rushed in front of us just as they started. I have luckily had very good views of it before, so I wasn't too bothered. Normally, I would have gone Chuck Norris on them:)

There was no Frozen dessert party last year, they needed the staff for larger offerings like the dinner buffet inside the World Showplace, aka, inflatable. Actually it's not an inflatable. But it was only a buffet, go in, eat, and leave. There's no entertainment, view or viewing area included in the price.

And staff for the private party no one showed up for
(in the landing between France and UK) it was odd watching several CM’s strolling around looking confused.
