Epcot monorail?

We went to WDW for the first time in August and stayed at AKL. Went to MK and took the monorail to Grand Floridian. I had no idea that the monorail also took you to Epcot (I think that is correct). Is there a different one to get on because this one stopped at MK, Contemporary, Poly and GF. Just confused.

You have to change to the Epcot line at the TTC.

There are two monorail lines that run on parallel tracks around the Seven Seas Lagoon (in front of the Magic Kingdom), the Resorts monorail and the Express monorail.

The resorts monorail stops at each of the monorail resorts; Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary & also stops at the Magic Kingdom & the Ticket/Transportation Center.

The Express monorail only stops at the Magic Kingdom & the Ticket/Transportation Center.

You can also catch the Epcot monorail at the Ticket/Transportation center. It runs back and forth between the TTC & Epcot with no other stops.
