I LOVE all the Epcot festivals and I normally go with my kids (I'm 3.5 hours away from WDW). However, when I go with DH he prefers NO festival is taking place.

What weeks/months out of the year is Epcot NOT holding a festival (Art, Flower & Garden, and Food & Wine) so that I may plan my next trip with Grumpy accordingly.

Thank you.

We have been quite a few times in the month of August, and have never seen any festivals in Epcot. We have covered everything from the 9th or 10th of the month through the 2nd of September, so should be pretty safe to visit anywhere in that time frame.

from the 21st-28th of Feb granted Princess Half weekend runs the 23rd-26th
Aside from that possibly June, July, early Aug will be festival free as I know the sounds like summer concert series is no more

This year the Food and Wine begins on August 31.
So it looks to be only June, July and first 3 weeks of August that have no festival activities.

We went just after Food and Wine had finished, the week before thanksgiving. It was a really quiet day (Wednesday I believe).

Why call him Grumpy? There's a lot of people that don't like having all the kiosks set up around the World Showcase. I'm one of those people. As a photographer, those things take away from the beauty that is the WS.

I think OP was making a loving jab at her DH, certainly she can't be too bothered by it if she's trying to find out when they can go together. I thought the nickname was cute. :o

I like the festivals and all, but when there's just festivals going on year round it seems to delude the spirit of WS and how special these events are supposed to be. I won't complain though, its one of the only things that don't cost extra these days!!

I think there's a period of about 15 minutes on a Tuesday morning near the end of August when no festivals are happening. That may be your only option.

Nope, that is going to be taken up by the Epcot International Film Festival coming this June, July and August. Previews of Disney's major Fall and Christmas releases with special retrospectives on Mulan in the Temple of Heaven Theatre. A celebration of Toy Story through song, dance and fireworks over World Showcase Lagoon. With a celebration of Greek culture and Hercules at the Odyssey. Also included food and drink booths with special treats inspired by classic, modern and upcoming Disney/Pixar films. Don't miss the exhibit on 'the future through the years in Disney film' in Innovations East.

We agree to disagree then on the first part. Sarcasm is not well conveyed in text.

As for the festivals being something that doesn't cost extra? Well, it does, you just don't see it. There are parts to these festivals that take place in the convention center that can and do require extra admission to attend. Also, they aren't giving away free food at the kiosks last I knew .

Nice work.

By convention center, I'm guessing you mean the "World Showplace" located between Canada and UK.
Those events, aka, "Party for the Senses" are very special and take place on just a few F&WF weekends. They do require an extra admission. Last year's top tier price was $329. But they're optional and are attended by a tiny percentage of the F&WF crowd.

There is never a festival the third week of August when we go every year. But August is hotter than hot ;)

There's no festival going on after tomorrow until March 1st when the F&G begins. ;)

But it's still there. And yes, I forgot the name of the building.

Honestly, the only festival that wreaks havoc on Epcot is the Food and Wine Festival on a weekend, which can be unbearably crowded in WS. Beyond that, there is little difference between festival and non-festival. Flower and Garden Festival is positively tame in comparison. Read this post to him and see if it helps loosen up the calendar a bit.
