My mom and I will be at the AKL only one night and had planned to tour the resorts instead of going in the parks. HOWEVER.....
the lure of eating in France is calling us to Epcot and then wandering over to the Boardwalk for a look. Any suggestions on getting French food outside of paying for entrance to Epcot- we are no longer Florida residents:mad: so the Florida Epcot rate won't work.
Also, where is the best place- outside of MK, to see and hear Wishes Fireworks? As you can see, I am trying to jam as much of a Disney experience in only one night(and two days) but decided I really wanted to stay at AKL and spend the extra bucks on a savannah room!::yes::

Really cant think of any French restaurants outside of the park, yet still on WDW property. But I could suggest some other restaurants.

In the BW area i would suggest Flying Fish or Yachtsmans Steakhouse.

Views of Wishes can be seen on the beach at the Poly, Naroossees or if you want to hear it as well then Cal Grill pipes in the music.

Sounds like you might be best off, going to Cali Grill for dinner and seeing/hearing the fireworks from their observation deck.........that would 'knock off' two birds with one stone...........dinner and fireworks..............although you'd have to give up the French Cuisine..................

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Didn't there used to be some kind of shopping pass you could get for a couple of hours, instead of paying for the park entrance you got a pass that had to be brought back an hour or two later or am I imagining this?

Hi

The only way as I remember to eat at the parks you have to pay for an entrance ticket. Just covers the guests who have paid the entrance ticket, if you wanted to eat only there is no way they can check that you have not used the rides. This is the only fair way for paying guests.

You can see the fireworks outside the entrance of Magic Kingdom and of course Poly beach, Contempary and Grand Floridian. If you wouldnt mind paying for an entrance ticket to Epcot it might be worth checking to see if you can hop to MGM. Fantasmic show kicks the fireworks display at Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately you cant see the show unless you are in the park and at the stadium it appears in. We went in May and to get great seats you need to be seated at least an hour before otherwise your chancing a side view or standing.
