I just saw that they were keeping the Epcot DVC lounge open thru this year, is this lounge open to resale buyers or only blue card members?

That implies perhaps it's closing - that would be sad. Was hoping they would add more lounges not take the one away.

It is always done this way...a year at a time. But. I would love to see them come up with a way to have some level of relaxation lounge for DVC in all parks. ...even if it is just an indoor spot with drinks and air conditioning without all the charging stations, etc.

While it may not be great, we have enjoyed stopping there for drinks, snacks and a break. During a huge thunderstorm, it was a great place to take a break.
I really miss the Chase Lounge above the American Adventure that is now a Club 33. That was a great place for a break.

I didn't think much of the lounge in general having never used it prior, but last August I dropped in for a couple of cups of ice water on a 100 degree day and it was a really nice break. It doesn't cost them very much to run it so hopefully it remains as it is a nice little perk.

unpopular opinion: Get rid of the lounge, redo Journey in a new form but in the same universe as the original and bring back the dream finder and a new model image works

There are other places they could place the lounge at EPCOT and honestly, every park has space for one if they get creative.

Absolutely, I just hate that they cut an attraction in half almost and made it worse to give us a lounge that honestly is just okay

I think the fact that they have not put lounges in any other park speaks to a lack of will to bother.

Also, I’m not sure how much anyone actually uses the Epcot one compared to the number of members

I don't think it is used much. Like I said it's a nice place to cool off for a while but nothing special. I guess it sounds special and almost exclusive during the sales pitch. It has almost 0 amenities, not even a restroom. It would great if you could purchase drinks and small plates. They could most likely cover most of the cost of opperations with the $10.00 beer and $15.00 mixed drinks.

In all fairness it was cut long before the lounge and unfortunately I never got to see the original, except in youtube videos, but I would love to see them bring something like that back with modern effects.

I agree, Sea World Orlando has a passholder lounge that you can order food at and overall it is a far better lounge.

Can someone remind me the policy for the lounge ? Can my whole travel party go up there with us? We are bringing the in laws on next trip, 6 of us total.
