:wave2: Hi Everyone,

Since I am getting frustrated trying to finalise dates and airfares I decided to plan "backwards" for a while and look at what to do in the different parks. By is there a lot of great things to do at Epcot. (Although most of the info found yesterday discussed the various lands and I'd like to find out more on the "rest" of Epcot.) Anyway, here's an idea I had last night. Please tell me what you think...

Instead of buying each child a passport (which at $10 each works out to $50 for our group) I was wondering about making the passports. Inside the passport there would be a section for each land with info listed like....Japan - woman makes animals out of candy and then a space for the stamp and maybe for a character to sign, and a space for them to have their name written in the different languages, and how to say hello in the diff. languages...you get the idea!

Would the CM's think badly of us if we presented these homemade versions to fill out? Let me know your thoughts and if you approve, please add other stuff you think could be included.
Thanks.

I like your idea! We have also seen castmembers stamp and sign autograph books and sometimes simple notebooks as well. There is no rule that you must use their passports!!

Have a wonderful trip!

What a wonderful idea, Sandy Feet ! I am going to use your idea and make a passport with my nephew (6) who will be coming down for MVMCP with my sister and I. He will be spending his summer days at my house while his mom works and I've been trying to plan some projects for us to do - this is perfect !!! We can study the countries, look into what each one offers at Epcot and make our own passports!!! Thanks for the inspiration !!!:smooth:

You're both very welcome!

Here's another idea: food and drinks. Now I have a pretty good idea of what adult drinks are local to each each country:teeth: but how about something kids could try (or not!).

I'm thinking we're going to need 2 days for Epcot. What do you think? If anyone has any suggestions on touring Epcot I'd be very happy to hear them.

I think your idea is FABULOUS! It is creative and cost cutting!

Definately need 2 days for Epcot!

Wish I had thought to make our passports!
Could of saved $50 buckaroos! Since money was already invested in them, we felt the need to do them. However, kids enjoyed making the masks much more!

Take WS slow, mine bunch 9,8,7,6,and 4 loved stopping to watch all the performers. We actually took one whole day to do WS and it was very relaxing and the kids loved the change of pace.

Mind if I swipe it?

I agree with mom of five; my kids LOVED making those masks. They are free and available in every country, so don't miss them. Best to start at either end and work around; we found it soo hard to go back.

I have luck in Epcot with 1.5 days. We always budget for one full day (for FW and some WS) plus one more late afternoon/evening for the rest of WS (plus we like to watch IllumiNations 2X It's awesome). With a bigger family it might take longer to move through!;)

Savor Epcot. It is worth the time!:sunny:

Yes, one whole day for WS seems to be in order. Starting with Canada, going counter-clockwise, ending with a 7:30 PS at Rose & Crown in United Kingdom to be close for Illuminations. Good idea? Epcot opens at 11:00, will it take us that long?

Should we split the rest of Epcot with AK on another day? Or is AK a whole day in itself? OR, is it better to split Epcot with a water park?

Any ideas where to find where and what about the performers ahead of time so that info can also be included in the passports?

My boys might think they're too old  for the masks and passports, but they'll probably change their minds once we get there and start.
