What is the best restaurant in Japan? We have eaten in every other land except this one!

My family really enjoyed Teppan Edo. The food was very good and the chefs were entertaining. Dinner and a show, at least the way I saw it. I've also heard good things about Tokyo Dining, but haven't eaten there.

Another vote for Teppan Edo. We liked the food cooked on the grill and the entertaining chef cooking in front of us.

My DDs liked Tokyo Dining, but DH and I wouldn't go out of our way to eat there. Most of the items on the menu were deep fried, and we're not particularly fond of deep fried foods. However, it's always good to try once and see if the food fits your tastes.

Teppan Edo is a family tradition...

DSnow20 expects that we eat there every time.....

We love it... been there 10 times over the last 10 or so years.....

Have a magical visit !

Great! Thanks for the responses! We have been to almost every sit down restaurant in Epcot over the years except Japan. We will have to try it out!

Teppan Edo is amazing. It, literally, changed my life and my approach to cooking.

The new grill is also insanely good. Very filling. An awesome quick serve.

We also love Teppan Edo and go most every trip. It is better than every Japanese steakhouse near us at home. Many will post here that they have Japanese steakhouses near them that are better and cheaper. Many of these are said to include soup and fried rice which Teppan Edo does not. Fried Rice is chinese, not Japanese. Teppan Edo serves white rice, which is more traditional.
So it does get mixed reviews.
Last trip DH and I tried Tokoyo Dining. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was great. We were seated at a window table overlooking the lagoon. It was relatively quiet.
I ordered the Tempura Chicken. It was a huge meal including Miso Soup and a cucumber salad that I didn't expect. I didn't really like it. It was too much fried food for me. I wouldn't order it again.
All in all, it was a nice evening. I didn't enjoy my entree, but that was not the restaurants fault but rather my bad choice to order. I would go again, but next trip we are headed back to Teppan Edo.

Sushi at Tokyo Dining was very nice especially by the window.

We love Teppan Edo. There are a few japanese steakhouses here, but this one blows them all out of the water. Great place for a fun dinner.

I love Teppan Edo! DH isn't so bothered anymore though, as the menu is quite samey and the "show" is pretty much the same every time. But if you haven't been you should definitely go :goodvibes

Just throwing in :thumbsup2 for Teppan Edo. We had a lovely meal there--enjoyed our table mates and found the service entertaining. One person at our table had the vegetarian option and it looked as good as, if not better, than my shrimp:goodvibes.
