EPCOT Int'l Gateway Entrance Questions

Can I park at the Boardwalk (I have an AP, so paying to park is not an issue) and use the Int'l Gateway to enter EPCOT? How early can you enter thru the Int'l Gateway? I am just thinking I would leave the park after the evening show thru the Int'l Gateway rather than thru the main park entrance. Is there a fee or time limit to park near the Boardwalk?

When asked a few years ago, the General Manager of the BoardWalk confirmed that the parking lots at the BoardWalk are for those staying at or using the facilities of the BoardWalk resort, itself, and he directed folks looking to visit EPCOT to the EPCOT parking lot.

They checked us the last time we stayed at the boardwalk. Disney has really tightened up on the parking at resorts.

We recently parked in valet, at Yacht club, for our Illuminations cruise, and had no issues. We informed the gate attendant, and at the valet desk, of our plans, and they both said absolutely, no problems.

Cost was $7, plus tip.

As the Illuminations cruises are launched from the Yacht Club dock, they would have no problem with you parking there to do them. The OP was asking about parking at a resort to go to Epcot for the day, which is a big no-no as far as Disney is concerned. The parking lots at Boardwalk are quite full enough with guests of the resort and folks coming over for the restaurants and clubs!

I would think to use the general parking would be a no no, as it takes up room for the hotel guests, but valet shouldnt be a problem

There is an unguarded lot across from the Boardwalk, on the same side as the Hess Station.

In a word.. no. Here is a thread you can read for more information: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=821379 :goodvibes

unless you're staying at the boardwalk or have a ps dining or specialty cruise reservation no.

Valet. It's a win-win. You get convenience, Disney gets $7 and the parking guy is happy to make more tips. No harm to resort guest as valet parking lot doesn't overflow into their spots.

I'm a little confused. Isn't there someplace to park for people who just want to visit the Boardwalk area, maybe go to Jellyrolls or eat something there?
