Hi! I recently watched the Disney weddings show on the travel channel and fell in love with the idea of having a reception during Illuminations (I believe it was in "Italy" in the WS). Does anyone have any kind of idea how expensive something like this would be?? $50 per person? $100 per person? I don't want to get my hopes up if it's WAYYYY out of our price range. Any help would be much, much appreciated!!

Thanks!
Melissa

We are having a dessert party in Epcot in January. Our dinner reception is at Ariels which has different spendature amounts. For us, we need to pay $12.95 for each person to watch Illuminations and then need to spend a min of $22 per person on food/dessert. This does not include the wedding cake. We are having 60 people attend this some of which are children. I am not sure if the food min will be lower for them. Having your reception there is much more expensive and for us this was a cheaper alternative. Plus, we did not want to have our wedding guest be outside all day. Hope this helps you.

We had our Welcome Dinner at the Italy Isola.

$500 site fee
$75 outdoor setup fee
$52 p.p. (+ tax and gratuities) for the Lady & the Tramp Rehearsal Dinner Buffet
$12.95 p.p. Illuminations viewing fee (if you can't prove that your guests have park access).

We did B.O.C. for drinks, so that was whatever people drank.

I also think there would be a per person Food and Beverage minimum (wedding cake would count towards this), but I don't know what it is there, since this was an "extra" event and not our reception.

Also, there are minimum guest counts, as well.

The minimum guest count at Italy Isola is 100 people for a dessert party, and 50 for dinner (60 is the max for dinner). The per-person food and beverage minimum is $22 for a dessert party and $75/person for dinner. There is a $12.95/person viewing fee for each guest who doesn't have park admission, and you may be required to charter transportation for your guests at an additional cost.

However, there are many other places around the lagoon where you can have a dessert party/reception and view the fireworks with a lower guest count and for a cheaper venue-rental fee (the cheapest is about $250). These include the patios in the UK, France, and Morocco, plus the tower in Japan.

If you search this board for "dessert party" you'll turn up lots of helpful threads with pricing and pictures. :goodvibes
