Epcot Illuminations- Inside restaurant or not?

Looking for opinions re best scenario for viewing Illuminations at EP-Best viewed outside or is experience just as good inside La Hacienda (Mexican Restaurant)?

I’ve never eaten in La Hacienda, but I think one of Reflections of Earth’s best points is that a good view is so easy to obtain. Almost anywhere you stand or sit around World Showcase Lagoon has a reasonable view. It is fine entertainment for thousands of people every night.

Definitely outside! Best view we've had was when we did an Illuminations cruise!

Odds are you will have no real view of Illuminations since there is a limited number of view seats in the restaurant. If seeing Illuminations is important, make an early ADR so you are out and finding a spot for the show.

Definitely outside. There are some tables in La Hacienda with no view of the windows at all and even if you're lucky and are seated by the windows it's still not as impressive as watching outside.

We did Spice Road Table outside last year. We had a table by the water and it was absolutely amazing! This year we had a table inside and were told that they pumped the music inside and they didn't. Without the music it just wasn't the same.
