Could Kathy's Epcot Holiday Lights return this year?????

I hope so!! Does anyone know what Epcot is doing for Christmas decorations?

I think if we were going to see any big holiday lights at Epcot they'd be installed already, or at least in progress.

No such luck with holiday lights at Epcot. I just got an email from Disney about the holidays.

I wish they were back too. I am taking my granddaughter this year and i told her about the way it was the last time I saw them. She would have liked to see them.

I wonder if one of the reason they went away could have been guest safety with to many people stopping to watch them. Yes I know they have the Osborne lights that put on a show as well, but they aren't on a main pathway in the park where if people stop and look at something they create a tripping hazard. At least with the Osborne lights everyone is there to see them and knows they are there.

Hey Mayor,

I'm a citizen of Bitter town. In all honestly and a good dose of cyninism, Money. But really how much does it take to put up some garland. Or some addition sparkle to the trees in the area. How about some tinsel dang it.

Future world looks like Scrooge decorated it before he got visited by the ghosts. More Garland, more lights, Put some more Christmas trees up. Oh heck put up a Menorah. BUT PLEASE DO SOMETHING. OR put Lights of Winter back.

Okay I'm finished. Thank you Mayor and fellow citizens for allowing me this moment.

I also wish we would have stayed to enjoy them longer on our 2008 trip. At least we got to see them though. I agree Epcot does need more decorations in Future World. Maybe one day they will return with an LED version of Lights of Winter. I miss those and the Mickey's Christmas show in the MK. The Mickey show was a much better show than the Stitch one that replaced it in 2009.

Honestly, while I would like to see them replace the Lights of Winter with something there, I kind of like that you can see the Christmas tree unobstructed down the walkway. But they could do something along the perimeter to fest it up a bit.

Thanks for sharing that video. I had forgotten how special that was. Sad that it's gone.
