Epcot Forever FastPass sold out for Oct 1?

Hello All,

We have our trip planned for end of Sept to Early Oct. We happen to have booked our stay during the transition of IllumiNations and Epcot Forever. Our Epcot day is planned for Oct 1. Yesterday we had our FP+ done (we are CL and have extra paid FP option) . I took a look and noticed the Epcot Forever FP are unavailable. Is it possible it is sold out already? I have a feeling it's going to be very busy during launch date so would like to use a FP or the show to guarantee good viewing location.

I suppose it is "possible" that there are no more FPs available, however, it also may be that they haven't been released yet. In any case, you really don't need a FP for the show. As a matter of fact, depending on how the wind is blowing that night, it's better to be able to move around the lake. If the wind is blowing the smoke from the show into the FP area, it's awful! There are no 'bad' spots for viewing. (Except where the wind is blowing the smoke.)

On a normal night, no you don't need a FP. This is the first night of a new show though and I think it's going to be extremely crowded. I noticed that there is no availability for FP for that night or the night before.The dining pkg at Rose and Crown is sold out as well as the dessert buffet for both nights- all indications of just how crowded it' going to be. Personally, I wouldn't attempt to view that night without one of those options or the willingness to spend hours holding a spot.

CL can book at 90 days, I would think FP availability has to be released by then. Here's the weird thing- Dibb is pretty reliable in regards to FP availability and look what it shows for Iluminations:

FEA is released through the end of September. They opened dates yesterday and it's already sold out for the last and the new show.

Presumably the Frozen Ever After dessert party will continue past 9/30 (the last date posted party date at the moment), although nothing has been announced. The Frozen party is themed more towards Frozen and not really Illuminations, so could easily continue from a practical perspective. That dessert party historically gets added in unpredictable patterns, so for now it’s a wait and see for anything past 9/30.

Was anyone able to get a fastpass for 9/29,9/30 or 10/1? Was booking my 60 days out and nothing was available. Wasn’t sure if they are even having a fastpass area for these dates. Thanks!

I’m also curious if anyone was able to snag a Oct 1st FP. To Epcot Forever?

I was looking at Dibb and it shows FPs open for Oct 4 and onward. Either WDW isn’t offering FP for Oct 1st to the 3rd or they all filled up.
