Epcot food and wine with small kids

I'm no idiot...I plan to avoid WS on the weekend, but during the week is it feasable to munch through the food booths with a 3 y/o or do you think it would be better to find a sit-down spot?

Avoiding on the Weekend good idea. Do you want the 3 yr old to try the food too? You could each go to a different booth but by each other & then meet to enjoy the food.

Our very first trip ever was during the 2004 f&wf. We loved it and our girls (2 and turned 7 on that trip) loved it too! We went several times during that 11 day trip and just "ate around the world" for some down time from rides and standing in line. My kids always love Epcot world showcase, but when we got to try all of that yummy food it was even better! We will go back during that time for sure!

I thought it was actually the ideal day for a toddler. Mom and dad got to enjoy world showcase and kids were never expected to sit still in a restaraunt. It was a really fun time!

That is a good point!

My kids are good at trying different foods, so I'm not concerned about that...I guess I was wondering exactly what it's like, if it is awkward, for example, without tables to feed yourself and kids...do they have any tables set up for ppl? I should go try to find some photos online...

I don't remember it being a problem finding a place to sit and enjoy our food! They are small sample sizes, so they are pretty easy to manage at a bench or table to sit at. Sometimes if we really enjoyed what we got we went back and got a 2nd!

My girls have always done really well in restaraunts, but we don't eat at them 2 or 3 times a day at home. It was a nice change of pace for all of us.

I think that we all found something that we wanted to try at almost all of the booths. There is a lot of variety. I do remember that it seemed as if we were spending a ton of money, but when you figure it up at the end of the day it isn't any more than you would spend eating at restaraunts. I think it just seems that way because you are spending the money all day long!

I must be an idiot ...because we planned on going to Epcot for dinner on a Friday after the waterpark during our Sept. trip. Turns out this is the first day of the Food and Wine Festival (9/27). We thought it might be fun to walk through the WS and try the different foods. We have kids age 2-13.
Is it because of heavy crowds, unruly behavior, or a combination of the two that would cause a problem for us if we kept to our plan?
