Anyone know what date the Epcot food and wine festival will start in 2010? Me and my (soon to be) wife will be there Sep 19th - Oct 3rd 2010 and wondered if we'll catch the start of it. I vaguely remember it starts on a Friday?

Per Disney's website it will be starting 1st October 2010 and finishes 14th November.

The first weekend is usually really busy though so be prepared.

Great, thanks! We'll happily spend the whole day there on the Friday, even if its busy!

Love it so much. Food and WDW is a dangerous combo. Also love drinking our way around the countries at EPCOT. Anyone tried that?

We started off with that intention but then got to the Rose & Crown and found a lovely chair in the sun, that was it, we didnt move for hours!

We will try it this October though! We will leave the car behind and just go for it!!

We normally get to england and then start struggling. Stayed at dolphin last year, so was easy to get back. Not so easy this time round, will have to get the bus back to AKL!! When in October are you going

Going 2nd til 16th, cant wait! Staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, within wobbling home distance from CityWalk!!

Weve only stayed at the Hard Rock once before in 2005, we loved it! Location great! Short walk/ boat ride across to the parks and CityWalk! Free all day use as much as you like fastpass on all the rides!!

Pool area is really good too, good music and good waiter service with drinks! The hotel has a bar called Velvet which is really good too!!

Bubba Gumps......YUM....Love it!!

I-Drive so close by! Have I sold it to ya?!! ha ha, I should be a HRH rep!!

Will be taking full advantage of Food and Wine this next trip..........may have to satisfy myself with merely eating my way round the pavilions though, doubt the the wife or kids even will tolerate a sozzled father....saving that for my Biergarten night!!!!

Haven't had a night at Biergarten. Any good? Any particular countries you enjoy eating the food from at the food and wine festival?

Biergarten was even better than I had hoped it would be and I had really really high expectations, just look at the title of my TR if you want a clue :thumbsup2 The atmosphere was really great, we shared the table with a great family who chatted away with us whilst our kids got on well with their son. The food was very good and covered all the classic German dishes but really the highlight was the beer....ice cold litres of Becks :cool1:

There is also an Oompah band that provide the entertainment and a lot of kids were up dancing away to them.

Its something we will be doing again on the next trip, maybe even more than once possibly on the last night to round things off in style.
