EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

I tried to book PFTS for 2 nights and both were filled! Never ran into this before is this legit??

If you are trying for reserved seating or Wine View Lounge then yes it is probably that they are sold out. I just looked online & General Admission is available for all 5 weeks it is being offered. I know the reserved seating was being held exclusively for DVC Members for the 10/03 party so unless you are a DVC Member you can't book that one for reserved seating.

Yep, if it's for reserved or wine view, it's pretty typical to sell out within a day or so

:thumbsup2 Good idea to get reserved seats. Totally worth it!

They have some nice kitchen equipment in there. Also, some interesting dishware and glassware. And ... Dooney & Bourke F&W Festival bags. Last year there were free samples at the large chocolate booth (forgot the company name).

From the Disney World website:

Begin your journey into exquisite flavors from all over the globe at the Festival Center—open 9:00 AM to park closing at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival!

Thanks for the info! I'm so glad we have the reserved seating...and even more so that it came with a package I actually wanted lol. Looking forward to checking out the Festival Center; we never made it over there last trip and it sounds like it's worth at least a look! Especially since we'll have to go anyway to pick up our package entitlements.

There was nothing last year about the corkscrew either. They added it to the bags after guest complained they couldn't open the bottles at their hotels & guest traveling via airplane would not have been able to take the wine home with them since you can't take it through TSA Screening. Also according to pictures posted on some blogs the wine definitely has a cork in the bottle. I still don't see how they are expecting guest to pick up the goodie bag at the festival Center since per WDW policy you can not carry the bottles in the park.
Maybe they want you to buy a corkscrew at the gift shop :(

Awesome - thanks! Has anyone done a trip report for this event? I tried searching and it brought up tons of threads that didn't seem related. Just wondering if anyone could provide a quick link? Super excited because this is the only event I have ever been interested in doing at all.
A little late to the party, but my family did the Reserved Seating for one of the PftS last year (2014). I wrote up a review in this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/figment’s-villainously-good-food-wine-festival-2014.3366839/

I have tried for October 24 and have been unable to get ANY kind of ticket - even general admission. been trying for 2 days. any suggestions? yes we are DVC members, annual passport etc.

This date may be sold out. We called on 7/30 at 7:00 am, on hold for 70 minutes and could only get general admission. CM suggested calling back as more reserved seats might come available. Tried five times on 7/30 and have tried everyday since and nothing available. I have read that since this is the Disney chefs event that reserved tickets are given to the chefs for their friends and family so fewer are available. Keep trying is my only advice. Good luck and pixie dust.

This is going to be AMAZING! we actually got something for all 4 days we'll be there....including food and wine premium package! lots of seminars, mixologies etc. my husband might have gone a little crazy with this but it's our first trip by ourselves and we wont be able to do this again for a long time! it's going to be awesome! see you all there!

Got through after 70 minutes. I was able to book PFTS on 10/17 as general admission only - no reserved or wine view left. The Italian Regional Lunches on 10/14 and 10/16 are not available, nor was the Flying Fish Signature Dinner on 10/15. The Tequila Lunch on 10/17 was available. :-) So I was able to get 2 items off my list and will go through this process again on Thursday morning. Geez, 4AM Pacific Time is really early!!!

Kudos also to the CM that assisted me - she had a great attitude and was very helpful, even making recommendations on some items that were available as substitutes for the events that were already booked out. She's also done this before - hope I get to talk to her on Thursday!

We also got the October 17 Tequila lunch! See you there!

update on 9/27 what's cookin event:
They say there never was any tech issue with it and it was simply already sold out. She said theres nothing listing anyone ever saying there was any issue at all... and when it got escalted I was told they never heard of any issues the last few days with that event..

Thanks for the update. I suppose anything is possible and perhaps since opening weekend there are more "comped" tickets than usual? I was through on Chase pre-booking day by 7:10 and on regular day by 7:30 and am seeking just one ticket. Seems a bit of a stretch it was sold out that quickly but who knows. Seems odd it still shows availability online but then doesn't let you book. Oh well...

amanda frietig did sell out that first day, i had tried for her as well. So it would be possible, but the system would say sold out not just refresh so i think its still glitchy.

new PP update! this is one that i'm taking with a HUGE grain of salt. per my very nice CM David, since my use week is from Sept 28 to Oct 2 & there are dessert parties on the 29th & 30th, with my credentials i can show up to either one & will be allowed in without ever having been put on any list. WOW! that's pretty disorganized if you ask me but that's what David confirmed via IM chat with his supervisor Tim.
That totally works for me!
Demos still not available to sign up for yet but it definitely needs to be signed up for unlike the dessert party. HAHA! we'll see!

Can you print out your chat? I would and bring it with you as there is always a disconnect between reservations and park personnel.

When I booked the package, I had to pick a date and that date is what is showing up in MDE as an 830 reservation, I would also put the reservation number in MDE and see what it shows

I booked the Premium Package yesterday afternoon. I saw on this thread that Disney had listed more details about the package. When I called to book it the CM knew exactly what I was referring to and I booked using the date that I wanted to attend IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party. It all went smoothly. The only thing that I found odd was when he read the "fine print" about the event he referred to the dessert party as Late Nights Live and said that if we arrived at EPCOT after 8 PM then we did not have to pay for admission to the park. I didn't think much about it at the time of booking because we are AP holders otherwise I would have asked more questions.

I don't get the 8:30 reservation time in MDE. If you just go in to book the dessert party it comes up with 8:00PM as the reservation time. If you don't show up until 8:30 you lose half the eating & drinking time before Illuminations.

i was on the phone with CM David who was IMing my questions to his supervisor Tim, so i'm unable to print out the IM chat that David read to me from Tim.

my MDE reservations say "Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package" scheduled on Sept 28 at 830pm. my concern is there is no Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party on Sept 28. those parties are only on Sept 29 & 30th for my PP usage week. i keep calling the FEST number because the description of the PP & the Dessert party tied to it on the WDW website do not coincide with the actual event scheduling per the WDW website.

if anyone else has more info, i'd appreciate it. i would be very upset to show up on Mon sept 28 & be told "duh, there's no dessert party today." or show up on Sept 29 & be told "you're not on the list for this party, you can't attend."

Sounds more and more like Lady Tremaine is planning the PP. Hope you have your glass slippers to get you in the door! princess:
