Hi - just trying to find more information about the festival. Has anyone been and what's it like? I can only find bits of info about it. Does any one know when they release the dates of any bands that might be appearing and where I can get the list from? I know last year the Beach Boys played so I'm hoping it's a band like that again (I love them!). Thanks for any help you can give. :)

We have been a couple of times :) I expect they will release the bands around May time the list will be posted here on the Did :teeth:

We love trying out all the different foods and drinks :)

Thanks. Food and drink - hope there's lots of it. :rotfl:

Just out of interest, does anyone know if the Japanese shop stocks Cinnamoroll or Pokemon goods? DD loves the stuff!

Yes they do, my DDs love them too. As far as Hello Kitty & friends go, there was (obviously!) tonnes of HK stuff. From memory the Cinnamoroll stuff was as follows in August 2005:

A selection of 3 or 4 different styles and sizes of plush
Cap
stapler, hole punch, sellotape dispenser & other stationery eg pens / pencils / erasers
various jey rings, both plush and non plush
Pyjamas
Pillow
Cushion
Parasol

They also had Badz Maru, Chococat and the other Sanrio guys but after Hello Kitty Cinnamoroll was the best represented :)

The International Food & Wine Festival is absolutely our favourite thing to do at WDW. Wandering around World Showcase is pretty amazing in itself, but, when the IF&WF is on, it's even better.

The 'Hello Kitty' section in the Japanese Department Store has become a bit disappointing - nowhere near as good as it once was. However, there's a Sanrio Store at the Mall at Millenia which is fantastic and which has all the latest stock - I could (and do :teeth: ) spend hours there.

Food and Wine Festival is unmissable.

If you get a chance give it a try.

We missed the beach boys but really enjoyed ourselves watching Kool and the Gang, great fun!

Oh that's distressing :(

It had improved vastly in August 05 compared with December 04. Sounds like it has gone downhill again :(

Is the Sanrio stuff much cheaper than over here? I hope so because the shop at Bluewater is mega expensive and I feel faint everytime I go near it - especially with both DDs in tow :scared:

Anita - yes yes yes! Much much cheaper. Less cheap in WDW but whenever I have bought "standard" size plushes in USA (in toy sores outside WDW) they have been approx $12 when over here I pay as much as £16.

Oh thank God - I can tell the girls now without having to panic :rotfl:
