Getting close to our booking window.

1 Day planned at Epcot (we may go back the last night of our trip to see Illuminations). Our 6 year old is a Frozen fan so FEA is a must but she's also tall enough and excited to try Test Track and Soarin. We also have a 1 year old so we will be using rider switch on those.

Using the Touring plans software that gave us a plan we really liked to RD (Epcot EMH) FEA and do the Elsa and Anna meet after that then hit much of the front of the park using our FP for Soarin.

It seemed to be a good plan that minimized walking and wait times. BUT... somehow it seems wrong not to use our FP+ for FEA.

We have an ADR for Akershus at 10:45 so my initial thought was to get a FEA FP for around 12 and do the meet and greet then too. When I try that out on the touring plan it extends our wait times for FEA, Soarin and Test Track adding about 30 extra minutes of waiting to our day plus gets a little less efficient with walking etc.

I also realized we could used Rider switch to our advantage if we go with the original plan.

Fastpass FEA to make sure we have it covered? (If we missed RD or if the ride closed)
OR
Fastpass Soarin/Test Track with rider switch for more efficient plan?

I would FP FEA around 12-1pm, so if it's down, you can get back there later in the day. Personally, I'd hit TT, then Soarin' at rope drop. I've read multiple times that FEA is not open at rope drop due to technical difficulties. Also, TT has a single rider option if the adults don't mind riding separately.

as @DisTXMom said, I would FP FEA and rope drop Soarin', If you rode drop Soarin' you'd be likely to ride it twice in a row if you wanted. Since we rider swap because of our toddler, we have to ride everything twice. And we grabbed the rider swap for Soarin' but totally didn't need it because when we finished our first ride, it was still a walk on. This was in November 2014.

You could reasonably rode drop Soarin' and immediately rush over to Test Track and ride it with a pretty minimal wait as well I would imagine. Depends on how much you want to push it.

Will you be entering from the front of the park?

In your situation, I think I'd rope drop Test Track, because single rider won't work for your 6 year old. When we were there in early March, TT lines were growing faster than Soarin's lines. Then head to Soarin' right away (it's a little bit of a walk) and do rider swap. Even if there's a wait in standby, at least it's inside and air conditioned. With 8:00 EMH, you should be able to easily fit both these in. You might also have time for a few other things (maybe put your tier 2 fast passes in this time frame, 9-10, 10-11). I'd then head to the 10:45 ADR, with FP for FEA 12:00-1:00. You can do the A&E meet and greet after that. As others have noted, if FEA goes down, you'll be able to come back later (which wouldn't be the case if you tried it at rope drop). Plus, if you've already done your other two fast passes, you can start looking for 4th FP as soon as you get in the FEA line.

I would also rope drop TT, hustle to Soarin', and use your FP for FEA since you have a big Frozen fan. While you guys do Soarin on the standby line, you can ride Living with the Land with your 1yo. My 2yo rode that three times since he went once while we were waiting for DH and DS5 to go on Soarin' after RD, then second time when I went with DS5 and a third b/c my DH needed to take a work call. The 2yo loved it, lol.

ETA: You can also do an alternative and have a pre-rope drop ADR at GG, hit Soarin' ASAP before the crowds run in and hustle over to TT right after that. That is what we did but I had FP for Soarin' that morning just in case we took too long to eat. We were allowed to get into the park at 8am on a 9am park open and our reservation wasn't until 8:35am. We were seated immediately once we got to the restaurant. It was awesome!
