Epcot F&G Food kiosks-weekend vs weekday

I thought I had read several reports of the snack kiosks in the WS being decidedly busier on weekend days, but now I cant find them...

Does anyone have direct experience with this? That is one if the main reasons we are going to Epcot during our short trip next week, and I'm suddenly wondering if its worth shuffling all our plans so that we can hit Epcot on Monday instead of Sunday.

The FP selections for Monday are already pretty slim, so if it won't make a huge difference I'd rather leave things alone. But since DH is going to want to try a LOT of different countries, I also don't want to get stuck in a 30 minute line at each one.

What have been everyone's experiences so far this year? Thoughts?

We were at Epcot this past Monday and the lines for the food booths were pretty much non existent. Just walked right up and ordered.

We were only there on Thursday and Friday of this past week. The parks themselves seemed fairly crowded although since we did not go on any rides in Epcot I have no idea what wait times were like. We were only there to take topiary pictures and enjoy the booths. I know that they were much less crowded than weekdays during F&W, on Thursday evening I sometimes had to wait for 2-3 people to order before me. On Friday during the day we encountered less lines than the evening before but none of the lines were close to anytime at F&W so my guess based on this would be that while weekends may be slightly more crowded (as evening are) but not unmanageable. You may want to budget up to 10 minutes for most booths. The longest line of any day was about 5 minutes at the Florida Fresh booth with people mainly ordering beer flights which are served at a different window than the food.

We were at Epcot on March 8 (Saturday) and March 10 (Monday).

The food booth lines are very long on Saturday and non-existent on Monday. The lines were so long on Saturday that we didn't eat at any of the booths. It was sunny and hot too, so it was hard to stand in that bright sun to wait in those lines.

I believe the locals go there on weekends to visit the Flower Festival and eat around the world. I suggest visitors to go on weekdays. My thread below talks about it, but got moved to Trip Report section. :)

Also, if you find the FP+ options slim for Monday, all time slots open up again on the day of. Book / change it to your desired ride or time on the day of, BEFORE park opens, and you can get things you want!! That's what I did last week for a few park days.

Thanks everyone. I think we are going to go ahead and make the switch, DH will be bummed if he doesn't get to "eat around the world". It was his favorite part of our trip last year. We didn't have any lines at all then, but it was a weekday.

Now trying to sort out the chaos of switching everything. Oh well, planning's half the fun, now I get to do it again :)
