I will be going down next week with my sister and her family. We are staying off property and have a Garden Grill reservation for before 9am on our Epcot morning. I am listed on the reservation but I'm thinking about trying to ride Guardians first instead of actually going with them to the reservation since I'll be the only one in our party who is riding.

I know they check early entry credentials at the front of the park but we should be let through there with the breakfast reservation. Do they ever do a second check at the ride entrance? I'm thinking about just going and getting in line during early entry so I'm not separated from the family for a longer period of time later.

I seem to remember that dining reservations were sent to a different line that pretty much guided them straight to the restaurant. And given that Guardians is on the opposite side of the park it would likely trigger an additional check on you if you're suddenly going the extra scan on the ticket or magic band.

They have various scanning points around the park to prevent guests without EE privilege from going near the rides. You won't be able to access the queue until regular park opening.

Even if you were permitted to enter the line (and you won’t be, they don’t only check early credentials at park entry) to skip breakfast. It’s a fun, character meal and as much as I love guardians I wouldn’t want to give up that experience with my group for it.

I wouldn’t do it, though I don’t think you can anyway, but Even if you had Early Entry I’m not sure you could ride Guardians and then make a 9 am reservation at Garden Grill unless you were way up in the front of the Early Entry line. And they might not seat your family until the entire party is there, so they may have to wait for you to arrive before being seated.

You are bound to get static here for a post that is about breaking the rules.
Last time I was there the center of FutureWorld opens for early entry with Resort checks at east, west and north exits. So you cannot clear the checkpoint for the Guardians side as your family clears the checkpoint for the Land side.

I suggest you be at the checkpoint waiting for 9am rope drop, and get in line with the surge. You will most likely be out about the same time as the rest are out from breakfast. Going later would separate you for 90 minutes at least, maybe 2 hours. If you go later, send them on something with a long wait too!

When I was there last year they sent resort guests to the right hand side after the taps and scanned everyone in a single area. Has that changed?

What does it matter? You are not a resort guest... WDW has rules and you are clearly trying to break them. You need to wait and go when aloud. I am surprised mods have not yet shut this thread down for you trying to circumvent WDW rules.

@wdwfan94, as shared, attractions during Early Theme Park Hours are only for Disney Resort guests. Accurate information has been provided by a number of people.

As a guest staying offsite you are eligible to ride Guardians when the park opens to all guests, not before.

Closing thread.
