I am trying to plan my meals for our December trip. We will be doing one night at the Garden Grill but I have another night planned to be eating dinner at Epcot too.

Little info, it will be DH and I (whose last trip was in 1997) and our 3 kids on their first trip. They will be 9,7, and 4. The older two girls are wonderful and fine in restaurants. The little guy, well he is good but we often have trouble with our "indoor voice" when we are out to eat. So I want to make sure I pick a place that will go over well.

I was thinking they would like the Coral Reef (all love to watch fish) but is it too "quiet" there? I know they would like the San Angel Inn (they enjoy Mexican food and I remember the atmosphere there being neat) but the menu doesn't thrill me.

What about Le Cellier? Good with kids or better for adults?

HELP~ I want to find a place that might have a "not so silent" atmosphere where we can enjoy the food as well.

Allyson :)

I've never done it but I understand the restaurant at Germany is fairly lively-maybe someone with kids can come on and say Yea or nay!

I can put in a vote for San Angel! We have eaten there several times, most recently with our then 2 year old. He was not so good at sitting in restaurants at the time, and was a picky eater, but San Angel worked fine for us. It's a noisier kind of place, with lots to look at for little ones. I think that my husband did get up and walk him around at one point during the meal, but at least there are the shops and the ride right there to look at. The adults enjoyed the Mexican food and the margaritas!

Any of the restaurants that are 1 TS on the dining plan are good with kids and there will be a lot of kids present. Le Cellier is a little dark, but great with kids. Rose and Crown is one place my DD enjoyed when young (fish and chips is a good kid meal). Japan (teppanyaki) might be too intense, or he might love it (the knife show, etc.)

Biergarten in Germany has a show with music, and it's buffet so you don't have to wait for a server to bring you food which can be a problem with restless little kids. We didn't love the food there, however, but that's probably because we're not big fans of German food. And Marrakesh has a belly dancer and music.
