we are having dinner at SRT and may not get dessert there, but rather wander around to a kiosk or CS place to pick up something sweet while we find a place to watch Illuminations. What are some your favorite desserts in the WS area? Is there anywhere to get a really yummy ice cream sundae?

Beaches and Cream (a 5-10 min walk to the Boardwalk) for yummy ice cream sundaes (I suggest the No Way Jose). You will want an ADR OR you can get ice cream at 'to go' window.
Ice cream in France at L'Artisans des Glaces.
Cronut with ice cream in area by Canada.
Kaki Gori (shaved ice, not ice cream) in Japan. Also Mochi (Japanese ice cream).
Tons of yummy dessserts at Les Halles in France and Karamel Kuche in Germany.

Though I do enjoy ice cream I must say that a cannot pass up a Creme brûlée and/or eclair from Les Halle's. I also love the Rice Cream from Kringla Bakery. France also has a crepe kiosk! Mexico has tasty churros too!

Really enjoyed the chocolate macaron and strawberry macaron we had from L'Artisan des Glaces. Also we can't take a trip to World Showcase without getting the school bread from Kringla Bakeri go Cafe. Also at the Karamell-Kuche the chocolate caramels with sea salt are fantastic.

To add to the above ideas- the Troll Horn at Kringla ( I think it used to be called the cloudberry horn) is simply delicious.

Yum! I love caramel so maybe s trip to Karamell Kuche in the Germany Pavillion would be a good idea. What are your fave items there?
I tried the gelato in Italy on my last trip and it was SO disappointing:(

I definitely recommend heading to the France pavilion if it's dessert you're after. Either cold, L'Artisan des Glaces, or not, Les Halles. Just my 2 cents.......

I'm a big fan of the dark chocolate caramels with sea salt, but they also have milk chocolate which a very good. They are big delicious hunks of caramel. They also have other caramel related treats, cookies drizzled with caramel, etc. But the chocolate caramels are a personal favorite. I tend to skip over everything else there for those :)

Schoolbread from Norway or a Cronut from the refreshment port

The dark chocolate salted caramels from Germany are amazing! For a more "dessert-like" treat I would go with the crepes from the kiosk in France. I also love the waffles with strawberry jam from Kringla Bakery....so many options! :lovestruc

I really enjoy the school bread from Norway and Churros from Mexico. If you venture out of Epcot, the Boardwalk Bakery has some fantastic desserts and the ice cream from Beaches and Cream is top notch!

I second that Creme Brûlée. Makes a good breakfast too.
