I just saw the YouTube video posted elsewhere on this site of a past show with Chita Rivera as narrator. That video was 9:44 long. Is that the entire show? On the same page as the video were the prices of the dinner package that's suggested in order to get a guaranteed seat. If you don't buy the package, there are only very few seats left. Ten minutes is not a long time to stand--is there no standing area around there that offer good views? I would appreciate any additional info on this event and how long the total event lasts. Thanks!

I believe that the show is about 35 minutes in length. I have never had trouble getting a seat for the Processional but I do get there at least 45 minutes early.

Yes, it's almost 40 minutes long, so much longer than most of the various concerts there. To be honest, I stand for the majority of everything I see over there these days, Candlelight Processional included and always have a great view(I think anyway). I've been going to everything for 15 years though, so have done it every which way, up front, both sides, dead center and even the last handicap row at the very back. It's just that my family is so spoiled, they hate lines of any kind anymore and have seen it all so much they would never stand in line for 45 minutes just to get a seat, when much of the time, people can just stroll in after the line has gone though and still find a seat.(you can't count on this though)

If you've been to the pavillion before you know how the seating is. Unless you are right down front in the reserved dinner seats, the rest is pretty hit and miss on your view depending on where you are sitting. There are various trees in the way and big heads many times, lol. Since the area is not that large in comparison to true concert venues, being way back isn't really a bad thing imo and you can see everything with no obstruction right in front of you. Plus you get away from the departing crowd quicker. But everyone is different. If you definitely want to be down front, you will have to get a dinner package.

If you are solo thus only have one butt, chances are you can sneak down as close as you can get with the regular people and still politely wiggle your way in between someone or on an end. Most people leave space for others in their party, or bags, personal space, etc., so by the time the show starts there are still gaps here and there. It's when people try to squeeze 4 bodies into a space for one or two is when those already sitting there get mad. Which I just witnessed last week during Air Supply. One lady apparently knew someone and went to say hello,I saw a lot of head nodding and next thing you know she turns to motion someone to come down too. You could see that the gap would have fit her solo just fine. About 3 heads down was another slight gap and this is where you could see the man was headed to sit after those in between wouldn't slide down enough so he could sit next to her. Well, before he even got his butt down another couple came running up with him and plopped with him. It was so tight it was not working out so the 2nd lady ended up sitting on one of the guys laps. The people behind them didn't seem to happy. Nor did the ones next to them. I swear I end up people watching more than I do the shows. lol.

I was there the night Chita Rivera was narrator . That was my first time seeing the candlelight processional. It was wonderful. I already have my resort reservations to attend again this year. It really is something to see.
Gives you goosebumps.

It is a must do if you will be there during that time.

When we attended the Candlelight Processional in 2006, we were one of the last families into the area for the show. Unfortunately, we were in the back, past the back row, on built in benches. The walkway for people leaving early was infront of us. I was told I couldn't stand on the benches, because I was blocking the view of people that didin't make it into the Ampitheatre.

I would definitely go 45 minutes early and wait for a good seat. I wanted to be the first ones in, buy my DH didn't want to wait for the next show to start.

Go early!!!! It is a fantastic show.
