Hello! So this trip will be my hubby and I. We don't have any kids. Last trip I discovered if I didn't feed my hubby something early he gets grumpy (even though he does not normally care for breakfast food.)

On our Magic Kingdom day I have planned Crystal Palace
Animal Kingdom Tusker House

So I am currently trying to figure out our Epcot Morning.

Would you select Akershus Princess Breakfast or Sunshine Seasons Quick Service?

Or should we grab something at a nearby resort? If so which one?!?!
(we will be relying on Disney Transport so will need to be able to get there that early!)

Please explain your reasoning behind your choice.

I would suggest a quick trip over to the Poly to have breakfast at the Kona Cafe. The Tonga Toast and Samoan are incredible. Plus, they have good coffee! (DH says french press pot of coffee is the best on property.) Then it is a quick monorail trip back to Epcot.
Have a great trip!

BTW, we are getting ready for an adults only trip as well.
Have you guys made any special plans yet? We want to go to JellyRolls and the Tequila Cave. Other than that, we have forgotten all the things we have said we would do if we didn't have the kids- lol!!

I guess it depends on how much time you want to take. We haven't tried either for breakfast, so I can't recommend one :confused3.

However, Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is super yummy and a fun character breakfast. It's a short walk from World Showcase.

I have Kona scheduled for a non-park day... I guess I could switch that... but then I don't know what I would have the non-park day!

We are going during the Food & Wine festival so I have planned quite a few of those events. Also thinking about Jellyrolls. A Carriage Ride. La Nouba. The Magic behind the Steam Trains tour (hubby loves trains!). I'm open for more suggestions though!!

We didn't care for the breakfast in Norway, but we did enjoy the WS without any crowds as we walked there. We are trying 1900 Park Fare this trip for breakfast for the chilled strawberry soup.

We love Akershus, but wouldn't do it without kids. What about some goodies at Boardwalk Bakery, then Epcot? Or Kouzzina has wonderful breakfasts!

We love snacking around the world for F&W!
We have dinner ressies at Fulton's and plan on making an evening at DTD which we haven't gotten to do. I suggested the Keys to the World tour, but DH doesn't want to "ruin the magic." :confused3

I agree with nickymaria- we love Akershus, but wouldn't do it on an adults-only trip (though it IS great to walk through an empty Epcot!). Sunshine Seasons has really great breakfast options- hit the Soarin' fast pass machine, then head right next door to eat....

Thanks for your input. Will they let us walk through Epcot before it opens to get to the Beach Club?

Try the croissant berry pudding at Sunshine Seasons.

This is what caught my eye about Sunshine Seasons! :goodvibes

I have 1900 Park Fare scheduled a different day. With 14 days I have TONS of meals!

Thanks for your input... I've heard good and bad on Kouzinna... I originally had it in the plans but then took it back off.

We will be doing TONS of snacking around the world. I have 3 "lunches" set aside for it right now... do you think thats a good amount or more or less?

My hubby isn't actually a fan of Disney so the keys to the kingdom tour is way to expensive to waste on him!

This is actually what I had been thinking of doing but I love to get others opinions and wanted to make sure I wasnt missing anything with Akershus (what a hard name to spell!)

For eating in the park, we like the options in Epcot best. I think 3 lunches is good given that the F&W kiosks will probably make for another meal!

Are you guys doing DxDP?

As of right now we are not doing DxDp. We did it our first trip and LOVED it. But this time I just can't find a way to make it cost effective! I've tried pricing out what I think we will order and I come out with it being cheaper OOP. I've also thought about upgrading to AP and getting a TIW card. Even with the AP upgrade cost and TIW card cost it comes out better than the DxDp.

I think if 3 of our nights weren't tied up with other things and I could add more meals than it would be better. Right now I am planning the Swolphin F&W classic, Party for the Senses, and the Dessert 3D party.

We have eaten at both sans kids and enjoyed them both. Unless you love characters CP would be enough for us. Seasons would also take less time and of course the proximity to Soarin is a plus. Where are you staying? You could always eat at your home resort.

We don't have kids and do Disney every other year at least, if not every year (lately!). Anyhow, we find that we do not like to do big sit-down breakfast. Takes too much time away from the day and adds to much to our expenses. We save our sit downs for evening. That said, we start with something small in our room when we wake up (juice and a fiber cookie and a yogurt or something), and then we grab something at the parks. At Epcot, we LOVE Sunshine Seasons. So many choices! We like to split a chocolate croissant (mmm mmmmm!) but the bread pudding looks amazing, and they have lots of egg dishes too.

We also like to keep it small so we are ready to snack at the F/W Fest. We don't want to be too full from breakfast that we don't want to eat any of the amazing stuff there!

So I voted Sunshine Season. :)

I do LOVE characters... but for the Epcot morning its more about the convenience.

I have us booked at Coronado Springs right now but hoping to change it to DVC if I can get it through an RCI exchange!

Thanks for the vote! I don't know that we will have any food in our room... We will see though!

My DBF and I liked the Akershush breakfast! Are you on the dining plan? We found out that it was great for 1 dining service credit, if you so happen to be on the DP. Great buffet options and you get a complimentary picture too! All in all it was a great choice for us and we will be headed back there this year! Can't wait! :)
