What are the best beer bargins in Epcot?

Cost per Ounce...

Someone must have a spread sheet...:) :)

Seriously...After looking @ allears.net and other sources...
It seems sizes and prices vary...

Thanks,
Ted

I don't think there are any beer bargains in Epcot.

I prefer Germany for beer, but the Rose and Crown has a good selection.

As for alcohol in general the best value is La Cava Tequila IMO.

Their prices are about average for quality tequilas, but they do not skimp on the tequila and the ingredients are fresh.

Agreed on all counts.

I was there last week. The best beer deal I found was the Liter of beer at the Biergarten buffet. That is about 3 beers for $12. I used by TIW card and it was $9.60 after the discount (before tax and 18% tip). Here is a picture.

Also the counter service beer in Germany is $.50 cheaper then the beer stand out front.

I got beer at the outdoor stands at Rose & Crown and in Germany today and it was $8 for 16 ounces (50 cents per ounce). Beer with lunch in the Rose & Crown today was $8. Had beer in the Biergarten Monday night and I think it was a little less.

Quite seriously, if you just want a beer, nothing fancy, you cannot go wrong with a simple $5.50 Budweiser from the Promenade Refreshments or the Fife and Drum in America. If you just want beer and nothing fancy. We've found Bud available at that price all over Disney World and I, for one, am darn glad for it.

Well this is unlikely to happen to you but it happened to me a few years ago. I went to buy one of those yard beer glasses from the England pavillion but when they went to swipe my credit card, they realized their machine was broke and so they gave it to me for free! Free is the best bargain I know lol. I don't know the price of the yard glass, but even if you have to pay for it you get discounted refills!

True, but then you would be drinking Budweiser. :lmao:

A few years ago, we were sitting outside the UK pavilion drinking some Harps, and my mom accidentally knocked hers over. A CM nearby happened to see it, and brought her a new one for free!

If you wanted beer why on earth would you drink Budweiser? :confused3

I was thinking the same thing, but was going to let it go.....

5.50 for a BUD...I'd rather have a 3.50 bottle of filtered water.

Bud has the ability to get you drunk, whereas water just fills you up, taking precious stomach space away from more beer.

I really don't know what the best beer value is, but I do enjoy a cup of Bass Ale and sitting back in the park area of the UK. Can't put money on that feeling.

I believe the Rose and Crown has discontinued the yard glasses. I thought it's been a couple of years at least.

For the most part, there isn't a big difference for the price of domestic beer from one country to another. I would say the Lotus Blossom Cafe and the Tangierine Cafe have the lowest prices, saving you between .25 to .50 per beer compared to what you would pay in the other countries.

I heard a rumor that Dogfish Head was available at the World, anybody confirm if this is true? We're going in 3 weeks.

The best "real beer" bargain at Epcot is Sam Adams at the American pavillion (at Fife and Drum and the Liberty Inn) and also at the Promenade...$6.25 vs $7.50-$8.00 (plus tax) for any of the imports around World Showcase. The only imports I recommend are the Spaten offerings at Germany - I'm not a fan of anything at R&C.

Dogfish Head 60min bottles are available in any Disney restaurant/bar that has that standard Disney drink book but you'll pay like $6.25 for a bottle (plus tax).

That's a 100% mark-up on Doghead. Oh well, it's the price you pay for a drinkable brew in WDW.

No Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA? :sad1: My boyfriend would love to have some since he refuses to drink the ones he has because he is aging them.

It'd be awesome if they had Hopslam, but that'd be hard to get.

The Blue Zoo (definitely) and ESPN (maybe) have Bells on the menu (but not Hopslam).

And yes, age that 120!

I didn't know there was DFH in WDW. It's always one of my favorites. But since we have a house 6 miles from their brewery and we can buy it wholesale, maybe we should skip it at WDW!
