We are spending a day at Epcot in August and I thought it would be fun to take my kids to Beaches & Cream for lunch. Is this doable by walking. I heard the entrance to B&YC is near FutureWorld? Is that right. Are we wasting time doing this in the middle of the day. Or would we be better to go in the evening? Thanks! :goodvibes

Absolutely! It is a nice walk along the water to B & C. My guess is that it takes about 10 minutes.

B&C is a short stroll through the international gateway of Epcot. It is located in the pool area of the beach club.It is a very very tiny restaurant so unless you go at opening or off times waits can be over an hour for a table. Avoid after Illuminations lets out, because the place is mobbed

That is a great idea! I would agree with PP though- it can get very crowded at peak times. I would wait to go around 2:00/3:00. It is a short walk from the Int'l Gateway which is right before you get to France. The whole BW/BC area is a really nice place to visit. Take time to explore the area - it will be a nice break in the middle of the day!

I like Beaches & Cream..the only problem is that it is very small. If you don't mind that you might have to wait for a table, then go for it. I ate there once, (when I stayed at the BC), we ended up sitting at the counter(to avoid long line for a table). I don't think I would go out there from Epcot and chance the wait, Epcot has alot of good places to eat. If you decide to go-enjoy :thumbsup2

Anybody know what time B & C opens for lunch? I thought we might try to hit it right at opening.

thanks!

Okay guys, I need some direction! I definately would like to try Beaches and Cream on my epcot day. So if I am going into the countries at epcot, I go to france and then where? Is there a sign near france that says international gateway and I go through there? Do I follow it straight?
Thanks :thumbsup2

I almost feel like I need a gps to get around :lmao:

It's right between France and the UK, you can't miss the split. If you pass the Eiffel Tower, you've gone too far. :goodvibes

Also, if you walk over the bridge you've gone too far, you want to keep water on your left as you walk there.

Beaches and Cream opens at 11:00. Lots of times we would go on our first day, when it first opened and never had a problem getting a table. In 2008 we had a Grand Gathering and all 16 of us were seated when they first opened up.

Speaking as another person who has never been (but who would like to try a No Way José -- and just see the Beach Club, to be honest), I would walk out the International Gateway and just head to the Beach Club -- I think it is more less straight ahead. Once there, I imagine the first cast member you see could point you in the direction of Beaches and Cream.

We did Epcot to B&C, but we went out the Int'l gateway and took the boat ride! :)

Thank you all so much for the great tips advice. We are all really looking forward to it. Maybe we'll even try the "Kitchen Sink"! :)

Thanks for the info about opening time. I really hope we make it there this trip. We have never visited the beach club/boardwalk area either so anxious to see Stormalong Bay. Probably have a problem with our DS6 after he sees that pool - POFQ won't be good enough anymore!

We love Beaches and Cream. We always go around 11 or 11:30 and never have a problem getting a seat. Later in the afternoon, it gets really crowded because it is so small.

Yeah...we ate at B&C quite a few years back, once we saw the pool we were hooked and we only like to stay at the Beach Club villas now.My family says that was the most expensive ice cream sundae we have ever had:rotfl2:Because after that we never went back to a value or moderate

We are planning to DHS in the morning on my birthday and then Epcot in the afternoon. How easy would it be to take the boat from DHS to BC, eat at Beaches & Cream and then walk over to Epcot?

That would be very easy and sounds like a great plan to me! As soon as you're on the boat, should take about 15 minutes to get over to the Beach Club. Enjoy it :thumbsup2

Yikes, I think I will neglect to mention that possibility to DH. We have visited most of the other deluxes and although they all look nice I don't have a strong favorite. Maybe because BC will be it! Hope to make it for an early lunch on either an Epcot or DHS day.
