Another idea, and something we'll do when my parents (early 70s) join us on our next trip, is to book a poolside cabana.

Thanks for the many suggestions. Sounds like there are so many fun things to do in So Cal. My dad is NOT going to go on our trip with us. My mom said she could make him go, but doesn't want a grump on our trip. I'm hoping he'll want to go in a few years when both Marvel and Star Wars lands are open and our kids are all older.

However...my mom's older sister has been suffering some health issues and has a bucket list of things to do before she can't...and Disneyland is on the list. So my mom invited her to join her. She probably won't stay the whole week, but it will be good for my mom to have the companion for part of the trip.

One good thing is that the weather in early June is normally not hot. It is overcast in the morning and burns off then it is sundown and it cools off again.
