Hi, looking for some information as to what we can expect on our upcoming trip. We are WDW vets, but making our first trip to DL sept 26th o Oct 1st. We have 4 park days planned, likely Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. I understand that with the 60h anniversary going on right now, Fireworks and Paint the night are occurring daily. However the 60th celebration will be over by the time we visit and my understanding is that in the past these events have not occurred daily, and perhaps only on the weekend? Is anybody able to help me with information if we will likely be able to see the fireworks or that parade on one of our park days? Is Friday considered a weekend day? Also, with the hallowe'en party occurring at that time which we plan to attend one night, are there special parades or fireworks planned for it as are common at WDW? If so will that impact the regular entertainment? Thanks for any information anyone can share, getting very excited!!!

If i were to guess i would say that WOC and the parade will be every night. Fireworks only friday, saturday , and sunday. Where this gets tricky is the Halloween parties. In the past there has been special halloween fireworks and a special parade for party guests. Last year they used the 60th parade instead for the party since it was still new. We won't know until probably july, but i would think they will go back to the Halloween parade for parties this year since the 60th parade has been running for over a year now.

Last year, on nights with MHPs, there did not present fireworks or PtN during regular park hours. So it possible that they won't have a nighttime parade or fireworks for day guests on those nights because the parties started at either 6:00 pm (weekdays) or 7:00 pm (weekends). Friday is usually considered part of the weekend, but there is typically a party on Friday nights (starting in late-September).

Historically, before the 60th Anniversary Celebration, fireworks (and F!) were only presented on Fri, Sat, and Sun evenings during the non-peak periods. We don't know what things will be like this year. WOC was typically presented nightly. There hasn't been a true nighttime parade in a while, so it's hard to say what that schedule will likely be. At a minimum, I would guess they'll present Soundsational (the daytime parade) daily during the non-peak periods.

I am hopeful that they'll bring back the Calvalcade or some other Halloween themed parade for the parties. They put out a casting call for parade and character performers for holiday offerings, including MHP. Usually they have offered Halloween: Screams fireworks during MHP, along with other special entertainment. The best guess at this point is that the first party will likely be 9/23/16.
