entertainment question???

Since lurking around here, I have gathered so many fabulous ideas for my son's Bar Mitzvah this March. The one big concern I have is the lack of 'entertainment' planned for the reception. We are hosting a dinner at the Napa Room which begins at 6pm....I would like the grand finale to be watching the FW from Pirate and Princess, I believe at 9:30. I am thinking we may need some sort of entertainment to stretch out the time. We would like to have some sort of slide show and we will definitely have a cake ceremony (involves bringing up 13 people to each light a candle while DS remarks about why that person/persons are special to him).

So, now that you have that long-winded explanation....do any of you have anything special planned or have heard of anything special that may fit the bill for this party?

i know in the past people have hired caricature artists and i think sunshine1 had a photo booth. i myself at one point toyed around with having the japanese candy maker, but ruled it out!

yes i did have aphotobooth.it was sosos fun and everyone loved there pcitures. they are definalty fun memories. the company was great if you want to look at them it is

Did you arrange for this through WDW or on your own? I have a planner (of sorts) but never heard of this.

i made sure wdw allowed this and then i booked it just like it did my photographer as an outside vendor and then they contacted wdw to get time and place.
so yes i booked on my own it was so fun

Thanks, I really like this idea...I need to figure if there is physically enough space for it. Can I ask which booth you went with and which resolution?

I think the photobooth would be awesome!

We are bringing our laptop and will either play a "sneak peek" of our wedding video or a slideshow of pictures of the two of us duirng the reception. Since we have a small guest count, we're just playing it on the laptop. Primarily for guests who cannot attend our ceremony. I bet that the Contemporary has a projector that you could rent/use to display a slideshow during dinner. It's a convention center so I'm sure it has things like that somewhere.

I need to check with my planner but I am pretty sure we can get a screen. My DS actually is probably the only one capable of putting together this montage...lucky for us he is technologically advanced (or, my husband and I are technologically challenged!)
