Entertainment card question

Someone posted that if you have a ent. card for your area.....if the number wasn't punched or blacked out you could use it in another area (Orlando). My Entertainment book is from Ft. Worth....I did buy the Orlando book.....but my question is....is it true? My sister's family is joining us in October and it would be wonderful to be able to use my FT. card and for her to use the Fl. one. We are both on tight budgets and would hate to try and use it and have it be denied.....can anyone help with an answer? While I'm at it - I want to thank ALL of you for all the wonderful cost cutting ideas!!! love from Texas....Barbara

I have no first hand experience in this since I haven't tried it (was going to and ended up not going to the resturant), but I have heard it was true. A friend of mine had one for our hometown & bought one for Las Vegas. When she was in Vegas, she handed them the wrong card and didn't realize it, and no one else did either... the card was punched and nothing ever came of it...so I would like to say, yes it is true

We have the Tulsa card, and have used it in Orlando, Dallas, San Antonio, Flagstaff, Anaheim, Branson , Niagra, and other places along the road while traveling by car. I always thought that the card was the same in all the books, and could be used in any city.... I have never had a problem.

quick note; just got back from wdw today and i have an almost full book with coupons etc if anyone needs anything for before nov 1... and i am going with the "Grandbrats" in dec.. does anyone have the new ent book that they will not be using all the coupons for?? pm me thanks kathyk "femail"

That's a generous offer. I'm leaving Sunday, so don't know if you could get it to me in time. I already have an entertainment card that a fellow Diser was kind enough to send me. I plan to read up this week on the discounts I can get with the card.

i think you could go to the entertainment.com website and look at what the book has to offer to see what they have, but it's this year's coupons so anything that says "new" i probably wouldn't have.. k2

Yes it is true we just used it this summer. I got one for NH, Mass, and Orlando. I have used them all over these three areas with out worrying. Not a problem. I however waited until March to buy them when they were only 15 ea on line. One or two uses more than makes up the 45.00. IF I estimate all that I saved with the three books it was upwards of 150.00 or more above and beyond the 45.00 investment. Worth it in my opinion.

I believe the card is the same in every book. When I buy the Orlando Book, I keep the card, but leave the actual book, with the coupons, in the rental car when I return it to MCO. Someone might as well get to use it.

Hi I haven't really posted before. But I have a huge favor to ask. I misplaced my Entertainment book 2004 for Orlando, no biggie really since it expires soon! But we are going driving up to Orlando for a few days & I still have the card, does anyone have a book for Orlando? If so what restaurants are the ones on the card for the Lake Buena Vista, Or Universal area?

hi.. i have a ny book that expires on nov 1, but i am going to WDW mid october so i was thinking of using the card there possible.... how would i find which orlando restaurant went with the numbers on the back of the card....when i look up info on the entertainment.com website, they only give info on the new 2005 book...any advice...thanks

First of all....thank you dear Wendy!! What a wonderful surprise to hear from you this way.....we can hardly wait to see you both!
Okay ...this might help some.....I have an Orlando book (thanks to my dear Scottish friend Wendy) and here is a listing of the restaurants and their numbers on the Entertainment Card. I'll just post the ones that are local to Disney and Universal.

What a great thread! I didn't even think about the card not having the location printed on it. I have a friend that just got a local '05 book and was going to toss the '04. Since we will be in Orlando the last week of October, I will snag the old card from her before we go.

Barbara-- Thank you for the list. Are all these pretty much buy one, get one free up the the dollar amount you listed?
