DH and I will be spending a week in Jan. at POFQ and we are hoping to experience the resort. Our last trip we stayed at Coronado Springs and we hardly saw the resort - it was the sleep when you die trip. What entertainment/activities (day or night) does POFQ offer for adults? I thought I had read somewhere on the boards about lounge entertainment but I cannot find any information.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

We stayed at POFQ last August. There is a bar/lounge that has musicians several nights a week. It is not adults only. There is also a pool bar that is open when the pool is open. There are horse and carriage rides around the resort that you can book and the boat that runs from POR to DTD. That's about it.

The resort is really small but it is incredibly beautiful. I have also stayed at CSR and I much prefer POFQ. It felt quaint and romantic. I never once felt like it was crowded and it was completely sold out the entire time we were there.

Definately go see Elliot Dyson at the Scat Cat Club. He performs I believe Wednesday through Saturday evening - starting around 9:00pm. He is great to listen to and really gets everone involved in the show. Both kids and adults enjoy his show. We always go to listen to him at least once each trip - even if we are not staying at POFQ.

Have fun.

Elliot has his own website - not associated with Disney - but he lists the dates he will be performing there.

I believe just google Elliot Dyson. He also plays one of the Blues Brothers at Universal during the day.

Thank you for the info on Elliot. I visited his website and he plays music that we both enjoy. That will be great to come back to the resort after a long day, have a drink, and listen to Elliot.

Has anyone been on the carriage rides? If so what did you think? Was it worth the cost?

Thanks again!

Another nice option from POFQ is the boat to DTD. It's a nice relaxing ride and you can have a quiet dinner or movie together in DTD before heading back on the boat.

There's also entertainment in the lounge at POR and it's an easy (and romantic) walk over there from POFQ.

I think you'll love this resort!!!

We loved POFQ-We had 11 people spanning 4 generations and it was the perfect resort for ALL of us! Not garish or overwhelmingly Mardi Gras..
To be honest-I loved falling asleep at night to the clip clop of the horse carriages trotting past our room.
Great pool, great bus, great size, DTD boat, good entertainment in the lounge for the "big kids".

when we stayed at POFQ last year we went to Scats the nighst there was music, and it was a lovely way to end the day , and a great entertaining night ,especially with the audience participation.

CSR now offers the Rix Lounge which is a dance club with live entertainment.

They also have a spa, salon, awesome pool bar, full menu room service and more for adults.

I believe CSR may have made a big mistake by opening this nightclub. Why encourage more drinking/partying than is apparently allready going on? Most of the people who read these message boards are family people, moms and dads, who are not looking for an Animal House atmosphere. I know, lots of people don't have a problem with it, but there have recently been several reports of loud, unruly guests. Being kept up until 3:00 a.m. would not make me very happy! I personally would not take the chance.
