I just got to thinking...we are taking the train down to Orlando in Feb it is suppost to get there at 4:03 pm....trains run late a lot of time. Then I got to worrying because we have a car reservation with Enterprise they are suppost to pick us up and take us to their office to rent our car and the office our reservation is with closes at 6pm. If we get there after 6pm I am wondering what will happen. I could change our resrvation to the airport (which is open to 11pm) but that would double the cost of the rental car. I was wondering if anyone had dealt with something like this and had any ideas. I have an email to Enterprice asking what would happen, but I thought I would ask here also.
thanks

Well I finally got an answer from Enterprise and thought I would share it here in case it helps someone else. If they are picking you up at the train station and you get in after 6pm you are out of luck they will not take you over to the airport rental office. So I changed my reservation to Hertz because even if the train gets in after 6pm they will take us to any of their office that are open to get a car. It is costing us more to go with Hertz but the piece of mind is worth the differance, plus I had a coupon for free car seat rental with Hertz so we won't have to carry our DD's car seat on the train so that is also worth the price differance.

I think you made the right decision. This way you don't have to worry if the train is late.

Hertz is great for late night. We ended up with them once via Priceline, and I was a little dissapointed since they are offsite from MCO. But the bus was right there waiting, and it wasn't a long drive at all. Since it was late, there was no line, and although they tried to sell us an upgrade, they ended us giving us a freebie upgrade from economy to a RAV4! Things were just as smooth going back. I prefer onsite but would definitely do Hertz if the price was right.
