Entering the park early for a character breakfast?

Hi Everyone!

My family and I are taking our very first trip to WDW this September and are very excited. We have been to DL at least 30 times but never to WDW!

I have a question about entering MK early. We are going to a character breakfast at 9:10am, and the park opens at 9am. When I made the reservation they told me to allow 45 minutes from our hotel (Pop) to the breakfast, but if we arrive at the park entrance at 8:45am are we allowed in early? Or do we have to wait in line with everyone else and hope we make it to the CP by 9:10am?

Hi, the answer is no, you do not have to wait in line with everyone else. Go to the first aisle on your left hand side. There will be someone there - show them your confirmation number and tell them that you have a 9:10 a.m. reservation for breakfast and they will let you in. Have fun.

They will have a seperate line over to the lef side of the main gate. They will have reservations over there so you can go in early. Not sure what time it opens but I have a reservation at 8:05 and quite a few people and cast members have told me I wont have trouble getting in even at that time

We have 8:05 breakfast at CP, the park does not open until 9, are the photographers out on Main St. and do they allow you to pause and take photos in front of the Castle?

No photographers are out yet, but yes, they do let you stop and take your own photos! As long as they see that you are just stopping for pictures, and that you then head over to breakfast, you're fine. Also, if you finish eating before 9, you can take pictures and meander over to whatever rope you want to wait by for park opening (each of the lands is roped off separately). Enjoy!

We had 8:45 reservations at CRT and there were Photopass photographers on Main Street when we got there. Great photos with almost no one on Main Street!!!! Maybe they are there closer to opening time???

We love walking down and almost empty Main St
Have 805 AR at CP in just a few weeks on a morn that MK opens at 9am

Not always on the left side of the gate... last time we were there it was on the right - that was a couple weeks ago.... I was looking left and not seeing the sign, then looked right and there it was

Where ever it is - just ask a CM and they will direct you!

Please take heed of the amount of time they tell you to allow - the morning we went was a very busy Friday morning, and security was busy as well as the line of other folks going the same place we were.... our ADR was 8:45. With something closer to 8am it might not be so bad!!

Have fun. I want to do it again with an 8:05 ADR, ours was a spur of the moment call at 7:00am ADR on 6/30/06! We also had early CRT ressies (9:00am) a couple months ago... I thought before opening, but it was Earth Day and the park opened at 8am!
