It says on the Disneyland web site that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party starts at 8pm but guests can enter the park as early as 5pm. My question is does this mean I'll be able to enter the park at 5pm wearing my costume? Or will I have to change and come back after 8pm if I'm wearing a costume to the party? Is this rule the same for the party on the 31st?

I've been wondering that myself (we're going on the 31st). I assume you must be able to wear your costume early....one of us may have to give them a ring and find out though!

If I recall correctly for the party on the night of the 31st they emptied the park and then we had to walk as if we were going into the Studios and they had set up a temp entrance that you then showed your ticket at before going into the main park. It was manic with pushing and shoving. For MNSSHP it might be different though.

There were quite a few people dressed up when we were there a week gone Friday but what we found was that most people seemed to have popped back to their hotels and got changed at about 5/6pm. They had a wristband in operation, we got ours quite early in the morning outside of the stage at Fantasyland although I did notice that later in the day they were giving them out just outside of the Main Street Station. We entered the party at about 7-ish, we showed them the wristband and were allowed through. You pretty much had to show your wristband on every ride you went on throughout the course of the evening which was ok at first but although I could see the principle I was left feeling a little disheartened by it.

Enjoy your party !!!!

we had the wristband too but i did notice people without them which meant that although they hadnt bought tickets to the party they could still see the characters and the shows and soak up the whole atmosphere just without the rides which i didnt think was fair seeing as the rest of us spent 25 euro a ticket

 I am tight fisted enough to be cross at this - especailly as the CM who took my booking failed to give me the proper discount.

glad i am not the only one then. i mean they werent really getting people out ash the park was open till 7 all people had to do was hang around. and im sure people could have even gotten on the rides as nobody ever asked to see mine and it wasnt clearly visable as i was holding my dd

We entered the park at 6.30pm dressed up - at the entrance they were handing out orange wristbands.

Around 7pm the castle are was roped off and we were asked to show the bands going through . The first few rides we went on we were asked to show our bands then they didnt bother. All the other lands were roped off.
