Entering the Esplanade from DTD for rope drop

Can you walk through DTD at 7am for rope drop?

When we were there, the DLH/DTD side of security opened one hour before park open (so 7 for an 8 am opening). It actually started a bit earlier than the Harbor side. We were already in line at DCA before Harbor security opened.

If being dropped off, Harbor Entrance is closer to the park entrance.

When we were there the DTD security opened at 7am. I like it so much better than the Harbor entrance even thought it's about a 15 minute walk through Downtown Disney. We only use it when staying at DLH.
