Entergy Almost Had a Riot on its hands!

Around 12:30 this afternoon, the power went out in our house. After calling Entergy to report it, I talked to one of my neighbors who is an engineer for Entergy. A feeder had failed, and over 3000 customers around New Orleans were without power until about 3:50.

Man if that power had not come back on by 5pm, there would have been some angry people in New Orleans!!! Yikes! Could have been ugly!

Wow I can relate, DH works for our local Cable Company...if something were to happen they would catch hell even if it was something they couldn't control.

For example just last week a truck hit a pole and a tree knocking a huge tree into a road and it was just a huge mess. Anyway before the Power people could work the tree had to be removed. To remove the tree took over 5 hours....anyway it was a good 7 or 8 hours before everything was even temporarily restored.
