Enough with the rain already!

This is so disappointing! I leave tomorrow morning, Monday and Tuesday were supposed to be our main park days. I just moved to WA a year ago and the main reason I've been looking forward to this trip was to see the sun :sunny: It's so dreary here. I can't believe the forecast changed that fast, I've been packing a little bit all week and the last time I checked it said high of 70 and sunny all week :furious:

I would be disappointed too especially if you are really looking forward to the sunny days. I just checked the accuweather forecast for you. And there will be showers Monday- Wednesday, but it clear out half day Wed. It's been raining off and on today Saturday. It's looks like it will be partly cloudy tomorrow- Sunday but then the clouds will be building up again Monday afternoon.

It's so hard to predict CA weather.

I hope you have a great time! :cool1:

I understand how weather seems to make or break a vacation. We spent Thurs & Friday at DL, and it was cooler than I was hoping, but other than a little drizzle, it wasn't bad. It did pour this morning(and while we weren't goingto the parks, I felt bad for those that were), luckily it cleared up in time to take the kids to the beach for a couple of hours before the flight (thank goodness as they were so looking forward to the beach), And yes the insisted on wearing their swimsuits. I'm sure I looked like bad mother, it couldn't have been over 65 degrees(with an ocean breeze on top of that), but they were loving it!
Hope it's sunny for you!
Edited to add: Just looked at our weather forcast here and we've got rain forcast for 10 days-yuck!

I just wanted to give you all some hope. Today in Coronado it is a sunny spring day. There is not a cloud in the sky and cool but not cold. If you have a day like this in Disneyland it would be perfect.

Living in Oregon, I think I too get to have whining rights! Usually the rain doesn't faze me but this year has been unbelievable. We leave in a little over 3 weeks and I will be very disappointed if it rains.
Usually April is very nice in So. Cal., so I'm hoping for the best. I need a sun fix!

I'm sitting hear listening to the rain and forecast wishing it would go way for a while. :rolleyes2

All of your talk about heading to DLR is making me want to go. I don't think I'll be able to pull it off though since our daughter is getting married in September...Disneyland is still my favorite vacation.

It rains every time we go! In a sick way I like it, it cuts the crowds down a bit and most ride have covered lines. Plaza Inn is a great place to eat if you do get caught in the rain! Could be worse ........100 degrees and bright sun beating on you in line!

Looks like we will be trading. I am from Anaheim and going to Vegas next week and the forecast said it's supposed to rain there. Oh well, much better than being hot I think.

It must be a California history field trip? Sutter's fort and history museum? It should be fun! My daughter's classes both spent the night at Sutter's Fort and loved it.

Yes, Kristenhh----We start at Wells Fargo, go to Sutter Creek, The Old Schoolhouse, Capitol, and the Railroad museum......It is pouring here again. We had a rain free Saturday and most of Sunday. I looked and we are getting rain everyday this week!

We will be in Disneyland on the 17th :teeth: and hope it will not be pouring then!!!

I am in Iraq, it was 85 here yesterday. Relatively nice day, I will trade ya.

I'm sitting here in SW Washington and I second this motion!!! The skies are so grey and have been for so long that I am starting to take it personally!! :rotfl2:

I have my fingers crossed that the weather by April 23rd will be vastly improved as we NEED the sunshine infusion!

Sir Yes Sir, done whining now Sir!

I do have empathy for all of us who plan our trips, spend the big bucks and expect everything to go our way and it does not. When I am home I live in SE Washington State and I guess the rain has been more than usual. My favorite place to vacation is Depoe Bay, Or and it rains alot there so the rain does not bother me when I am there. My family has planned for the last 10 month's to go to Disneyland in June and I had to cancel that last week because of work. Now trying to find ressie's for seven in August and not having much luck, so there is my whine for the rain post.
Instead of expecting the worst(which is rain in this case) look forward to being in Disneyland and enjoying yourself and the one's you are with.

Have a great day,

You are absolutely right, Jack. We will all have a tremendous time, no matter the weather. Good luck on planning your re-vamped trip, I hope it all works out.

We love Depoe Bay too! Next time you're there, check out Oceanus. It's a quaint and very small restaurant on the cove, next to Tidal Raves. It has an outstanding view and great food.

Our trip is drawing closer 2.5 weeks and I'm still unsure about this crazy weather. Let's hope it dries out in Anaheim soon!

Thanks for the tip, I will try it. Been to Ridal Raves a zillion times. Also like to go up to Kylo's and the Bayshore at Lincoln city. I have an acre down at Yachats. Have not done anything with it except pay the taxes..one of these years. I must have 20,000 photo's of the Or coast.
It will be perfect when you get there, it will have rained out.

I just got back, and out of the 4 days of predicted rain, only one was an all day affair. In fact, we had some brief morning showers (with hail) that chased away all the crowds for the rest of the day. It was fantastic! Just pack your rain gear and go for it!

That is the one nice thing about rain at DL - most people tend to stay inside/home. But I'm willing to deal with crowds if I can just see some sun. :cloud9:

I wish the rain would blow this way, we really need it!

Same here. We keep getting clouds(keeps the heat down) but the wind STINKS!
